Darien Chase is back on the field. The sophomore wide receiver missed all of last season after suffering an achilles injury at the start of last season's camp. Chase, from Vancouver's Union High School, was brilliant in his freshman season with the Vikings (2021), catching 54 passes for 579 yards and four touchdowns, and routinely making incredibly difficult catches in traffic. Having him back will be HUGE for the offense. I notice the ball seems to find his hands, as opposed to his hands trying to find the ball – if that makes any sense.
