After watching last night it is so obvious that donovan is not the reason that team is good... if aj feely can do that to the pats then it is time for the eagles to dump mcnabb

I've always argued that McNabb's problems stemmed mainly from poor coaching. Inexplicably, the coaching improves when he's not on the field. However, McNabb has been pretty errant this year, and when the pressure is on, has a tendancy to throw poorly. I recall watching Feely throw a swing pass to Westbrook that turned into a 7 yard gain. I couldn't help but think that if McNabb had thrown that pass it would have either:
A) Been over Westbrook's head
B) Been thrown at his shoe laces
C) Been thrown behind him

If someone was crazy enough to offer a high draft pick for him I'd trade McNabb in a second. He's used goods now - hurt every year, he's degraded as a passer and just can't make the tight throws a good QB makes anymore, and sadly he looks scared back there anymore. I've never seen a QB check down as often as he does - he's afraid to throw the ball downfield anymore. Feeley isn't the answer, he's just a backup, so we'll see if Kolb is the real deal or not. But the McNabb era is over in Philly.

Agreed Gannon..The thing that closed the book was last years Nov. Dallas game when he threw that INT that was returned for a TD. I was like thats just unexcusable being in this league that long. So, its Kolb or Chase Daniel or Colt Brennan!

Chase Daniel is pretty short for an NFL QB. He might get a lot of passes batted down that taller QB's can throw higher.

Colt Brennan smells even douchier than Matt Leinart. I think he'll be bad juju. Besides, name an ex-Hawaii QB who's a competent backup at the least.

Also, it's unlikely the Eagles would be in a position to draft any of the better QB's. They'll probably finish with 7 to 9 wins, putting them around 15 or so on Draft day.

The New York Giants would take him in a heartbeat. xnodx

Maybe we can get Tim Tebow leaving early?

Given the choice they would not trade to NY...They would ship him elsewhere.

That's probably true. But the man has value. Good NFL quarterbacks are a rare commodity these days.

Tebow can't leave untill after next year. Don't give up McNabb untill after Philly visits Dallas. Let's give him a great good-bye. xlolx

I'm hoping Feeley starts that game as well as the rest of them this year.

They have a chance, since Tebow won't be in the draft before next year. For that strategy to work, Jeffery Lurie will need to pull a "Rachel Phelps."

The Birds should dump their players for guys who got cut by the Texans and Falcons, go 1-15 and get the #1 overall pick for the 2009 draft!

I'm not sure 'checking down' is actually what McNabb does. It appears to me the 'checkdown' man is actually his 'prime' receiver. He should 'check up' more. Besides that, he reminds me of a big crybaby who tries to self-proclaim himself as the team leader. The Eagles should've kept TO and dumped McNabulous.:(
