we have a couple really good LB that got skipped. How you pick somebody from our secondary is a mystery.

Remember, there were limited spots available because if a player was on the team previously, he automatically was named to this team.
As for McNeese, over half our team is new and has never played a game for the Cowboys. We probably have a couple of returning players that McNeese fans feel were snubbed, but were they better than the player who was automatically on the team?
All any of us can hope for is that these returning players who didn't make the team and the new players from the portal and play well enough to earn a spot when the season is done.
This does give us a pretty good idea of how the preseason poll will go. SLU #1.

The irony of the transfer portal is both the 1st and 2nd team QBs are from SLU but the guy who's 2nd team is likely our starter. Dunno if we'll be picked first or not, and don't much care, but this is probably far and away the deepest, most talented roster we've had since bringing football back.

I know Jalloh but I did not think you had any major returners at LB that would be on a preseason team except for possibly him?

I was surprised that Pugh made the 2nd team. There is a CB at Northwestern State who is getting overlooked by everyone because he got hurt early last year but the NFL has real interest in him so I will be curious to see if he makes the postseason list.

He wasn’t. He used it to get a contract extensioni. He was never going to Lamar, not sure why people print stuff like that.
