This is really cool. In most sports you don't get to see the greatest ever against the greatest now. Pats vs. undefeated Dolphins team will never happen.

Sampras got to prove he is better than Federer.

Hardly a fair match. One in his prime and one well past it. I'm sure the matches are rigged.;)

No way Federer wants people to think that he can't defeat an over the hill retiree, even if it is Sampras.

It still makes no sense. Sampras is old (by tennis standards) and hasn't played competitively in years. Besides, Fed proved he was better by knocking Sampras out of Wimbledon when he was only 19. xtwocentsx

Sampras has actually played a few senior circuit tennis tournaments, World Team Tennis and has been making a few more exhibition appearances...

He was really upset by his poor start in the senior circuit and WTT -- that he worked on his game some more so he could do better -- ever the competitor!

it already happened....twice before

fed one the first 6 and 6. Sampras won the one after that

Easy for Petey to get up for this one match. Federer plays a full schedule.

Sampras is the "Greatest of All Time" for now and better enjoy it. Federer will break his Grand Slam title record soon.
