Best First Round Ever?

Was the 2007 first round the best ever in the history of FCS/1-AA?

Yes there were your typical blowouts you get in the first round (Delaware, Richmond, SIU), but then you have:

A. a blowout from the "underdog" against the 11-0 #2 seed.

B. 2 seeds fall (almost 3), both were 11-0xeekx

C. 3 games have multiple lead changes and are decided in the last 30 seconds (ASU, UNI, and Wofford). xthumbsupx

I jogged my memory here http://www.diaafootball.com/playoffs.html but couldn't find a year were I remembered this many "upsets" and close game in round one.

Thoughts?

There were some awesome games. Some of them should have been second round games but you have to play what is handed to you even in the first round. On the last day there will only be one left standing! It truly has been a year of parity where the rankings meant very little. Seems to be a national trend this year even in the FBS.

Tennessee State entered that year at 11-0, seeded #1 and pretty much everyone thought they were a paper tiger.
