A lot of people have said that they think if Coastal keeps playing like they are now then the next stage up construction on the stadium will happen after this year.

Certainly hope so. But I was one that thought they should have expanded after the first season ;)

The only time you will see that many at your games..takes EKU to fill up your place, even your fans on Hilltopper Haven know it! That's why this game should not ever be discontinued like it was several years ago.

Maybe not to the same degree, but isn't the same thing basically true of the fans in Richmond? Double the normal attendance for the "Battle"?

I can't help but read that as if you are trying to be arrogant or something. Yeah, we definitely enjoy seeing Colonels get beat. I guess when you can't win a game, about the only thing you can brag about is drawing a good crowd.

8800 and change in the UNI-Dome last night.

Playing a D-II team and having Iowa play Iowa State hurt attendance, IMO.

I was at the game in Richmond last year and the same thing happened there regarding a much larger than normal crowd. Add to that the fact that there were about 2,000 WKU fans there. So, the same thing can be said about EKU only being able to draw a big crowd when WKU comes to town. Boy, you EKU fans sure are a sour bunch. Anything else you want to criticize WKU about? Oh, I almost forgot. We won!!!!!

The difference in the attendance at EKU last year and wku this year was about 5000 more fans were in Richmond. It was not parents weekend either (as it has been the last 2 times at wku). I think there were close to 1500 EKU fans there last night (probably 2000 in 2003). It seems with the success you have had recently you would draw bigger crowds, that is all I am saying. Even though we have been down, we still out draw you guys. And yeah I am thoughly %!$$#* because we lost.

See ya' in December!!!

It would be great if it was in Tallahassee.

I bet that your "support" goes up next week.

There were alot of Rattlers there from what I hear...although alot of Rattlers are still upset with Tampa.

That will be USF's biggest crowd this season.

Well, there will be a lot of people viewing the Panthers next week. Over 70,000. Unfortunately, most will be Iowa fans. :(

Katrina really hurt attendance at this game. 2nd lowest attendance following Sept 11th since this game was moved from home and home to Memphis.

Alcorn State at Southeastern Louisiana had 7,823 in attendance which is 106% of capacity. Not too bad considering most of our fan base was directly affected by Hurricane Katrina, and a lot of people in the area are still without power. We also have national guard, utility trucks and police from all over the country using our campus as a staging area. I was just hoping we could muster up 2,000 with everything going on. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived just in time for opening kickoff to see we had a nice crowd. It was also nice to get a dominating win in front of the home foks!!!

There was 15,600 at the Univ of Houston/Sam Houston game. UH fans suck. Bearkats brought an estimated 4-5k to Robertson Stadium Saturday night. There was a lot of orange in the stands. Too bad we didn't take advantage of our opportunities.
