Ademola Adeniji, Eastern Illinois, RB, 5-10, 215, Sr., Springfield, IL

The consensus with the FCS pundits was that for Eastern Illinois to make the playoffs, the Panthers would have to deliver a resounding victory against Samford in the final game of the year. Adeniji helped the Panthers run to the playoffs last Saturday in their 33-17 victory over the Bulldogs. The Springfield, IL native ran the first offensive play for the Panthers 65 yards for his first touchdown on the day, and Eastern Illinois never looked back. On the day, Adeniji would amass 170 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns on 27 carries.

Paul Aanonson, South Dakota State, WR/PR, 5-10, 175, Sr., Cambridge, IA

In the Jackrabbits big rivalry game with previously unbeaten North Dakota State for the “Dakota Marker”, the South Dakota State seniors know they’d have to play a great game in all phases to beat a team that knocked off two FBS schools. With Aanonson’s 95 yard punt return for a touchdown in the second quarter, he would give his Jackrabbits a daunting 20-3 lead en route to a 29-24 victory over the Bison. The win didn’t only give the “Marker” to the Jackrabbits, it also gave them an outright Great West title. With his 482 punt return yards on the season, the Cambridge, IA native also set a South Dakota school record as well.
