No doubt, the Jags are walking into an emotional firestorm. This is the first Classic since the death of Coach Rob so Grambling is on a mission to play in his honor. SU must remained focused! Focus is key, expecially after that sideshow at Arkansas Pine-Bluff.xsmhx

I won two tickets on a local call in radio show. Actually when I answered the question, I didn't even know what the prize was gonna be. My 10 year old granddaughter (jaguar fan) has never gone so her 26 yr old uncle
(Gramblinite) is taking her. I only wish I could be there to record those two during the game. I told him not to tease her too much!xthumbsupx

Smart young lady! You should be proud Mike!xnodx

A first Bayou Classic is always something to remember, after I took my wife to her first she became a huge Southern fan.

For any of you guys coming from the west heading for N.O., I-10 over the Atchafalaya Spillway is closed because of a gas well explosion and fire. They say it won't be open for another week or so. So you will have to go either North to Highway 190 or South to Highway 90 to get around that section. And the traffic has been very bad, so plan extra time.

Good point Doc... I thought of this last night and meant to post it on TSPN for those coming over from Houston and areas West of the Atchafalaya (thanks for having spelled that in your post).xlolx

Enjoy the Classic.

Thanks... I ignored it when also. Good luck in the playoffs...
Congrats on going 10-0; If Les leaves BR, yall better upgrade Viator's salary. Seriously, he has done a great job since he came on board. Isn't the winning streak actually more than 10 games?

Some (most) days I can't stand Colin Cowherd... on others (rare) he's okay! Kinda sorta rooting for McNeese too. With them being La, I feel compelled to root for them...but because they use that success to keep getting all that talent makes me kinda a "hater".
Much respect for both of yall, but LAWD knows I wanna beat both of yall azzes for some old stuff xmadx

Make that 11-0 this season. It is only 11 games because we lost to Montana in the playoffs to end last season.

Grambling
I was just messing with yall... I know very well who Gerald Landry is. A good football player...that dude is so big. I doubt if we double him...Grambling typically doesn't double guys but I'm sure Coach Yosida has something to take him away if he becomes too much of a problem.
I expect Grambling to seek to establish the run game with Warren and Walker to make yall bring up those safeties. No the question is, will yall
play man coverage on Clyde Edwards?xnonox

I think both teams will be ready, and anybody who thinks this will be a blowout don't know much about the classic, this game is always close. You can throw the records out the window in this one.

Mikebigg, you've seen Southern enough to know what kind of coverage they'll use. You know Pete ain't gonna throw too many wrinkles in now. I just hope we can get off to a good start.

LOL. Y'all have a good run defense but ULM did some damage to y'all. I expect us to win. We will play man coverage and we will have Clyde in check. xbowx xbowx

You don't have a player on your team that can hold Clyde Edwards. You can only hope to contain him.

BAYOU CLASSIC 2007: Lewis arrives for Grambling in 'Nick' of time
Big-play junior has become Tigers’ leading receiver in yards per catch
By Nick Deriso
[email protected]
GRAMBLING — Southern will likely have a tight focus on passing downs against Grambling State.
After all, GSU starts widely respected receivers Clyde Edwards and Reginald Jackson. The former holds a school record for career touchdowns, while the latter is a guy who's gobbled up 57 passes so far in 2007.
That tends to draw attention away from junior Nick Lewis, who's managed just 10 receptions.
He's taken an opportunistic approach when the ball comes his way, though, rewarding the patient with some memorable, electrifying experiences.

I've seen both teams play up close and personal and cannot WAIT to see the O-D matchups on BOTH sides of the ball!
Lee and the racehorse offense w/ Landry against Gram's very quick D! Crab thunder and lightning punches Warren and Walker against SU's very quick D!
Doesn't get any better than this! Good luck guys.
