PITTSBURGH, Pa. — Spiders sophomore Cole Ekert became the first Richmond men's golfer to win a full-field event in seven years Tuesday, finishing the 54-hole RedHawk Intercollegiate at 1-under par (212). Ekert, who shared medalist honors with North Dakota State's Nate Adams, is Richmond's first individual tournament champion since 2017, when Keegan Hoff won the Ft. Lauderdale Invitational.
