SPOKANE, Wash. – After assembling the greatest season by a true freshman in program history over the winter, Paige Wehrmeister of the Presbyterian College women's wrestling team took her talents to the USMC National Championship event on the west coast, participating in two brackets over a three-day window from Friday through Sunday. The distinguished grappler picked up eight victories overall in two separate events, placing 4th and 7th respectively.Finishing PC's campaign as the third-ranked wrestler in class 136 and remaining inside the nation's individual top five from start to finish, Wehrmeister continued in Spokane right where she left off with six technical falls and an extra pin for good measure. The newbie published a team-high .088 win percentage over the season behind an extraordinary final record of 38-5.
