While the AD might be insane, wouldn't any of us kill for our team to play that schedule? There'd be no need for a playoff! xlolx xlolx xlolx

They must not have had the phone numbers for Delaware State or Yale. I'm sure they're on the phone with LSU and USC right now, working on next year's games...

That was definitely a killer schedule. Maybe they were looking past this year and trying to toughen up their younger players.

I said as much at the beginning of the year. I think my prediction was that ASU would go 9-2 against that schedule. Maybe I jinxed us.
I should have said that ASU would go 11-0 against themxsmiley_wix
That way, we'd get the No. 1 seed and be looking forward to 3 homegames before the trek back to chattyxlolx xlolx xlolx xlolx

I realized they were playing a a tough schedule off the results I'd seen as the year went by, but seeing it all lined up like that is impressive. You've got to give them credit for taking on a schedule like that (and the beatings that go along with it).

any word on bankruptcy proceedings? Gosh, I know other teams from that region (flagship universities at that) who simply can't afford to make one road game, much less 6 of 'em.

@ New England Patriots (scrimmage)
@ Iowa (their 1 win)
@ Saskatchewan Roughriders
@ Dallas Desperados (Arena Ball)
@ Manchester United (no pads)
@ UNI (vs. intramural squad)

It looks like the road to the playoffs led through Southern Utah. You had to schedule them to make it in.

Maybe we should ask them who the best team in the land is. Just curious, were they number 1 in SOS. IF not they should have been.

SUU is in Cedar City, closer to Vegas than SLC.

"Right now, I feel like Northern Iowa is (the best team in the country)," said [SUU head coach] Meier. "We knew what the other guys were like as we played them, but all we had was film on (UNI). I can't say enough about the team that was out there today."
Granted, it's a typical post-game quote. But anyway. hehe.
Best team will be decided in a little under a month...

Southern Utah is in Cedar City, about 45 miles north of St. George and well south of the Salt Lake Area. They are near Bryce Canyon and Brian Head Ski Resort and two hours and change from Vegas.
