TOWSON, Md. – Towson University swimmer Brian Benzing placed 12th overall in the preliminary heats of the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 51.30 on Friday at Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center, qualifying him for the B final in the evening session. That time is the second-fastest time of Benzing's career, falling just short of his personal best of 51.25 at the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Championships last month.
