It is almost criminal to not have Dayton's Mike Kelly in the poll for the Eddie Robinson award.

Mike Kelly took the Flyers from 4-6, ( 1-6 PFL ), in 2006 to 10-1, ( 6-1 PFL ), in 2007, including the 2007 PFL Championship.

So, I vote for Mike Kelly of Dayton for the Eddie Robinson award and Josh Johnson for the Payton award.

my votes are bias since i reside in the south and have only maintained a steady eye on the southern conference, but Elon's Pete Lembo did an extraordinary job with a group of young players (mostly freshmen) in leading them to a near conference title. But not enough for the Eddie, maybe next year. My vote goes to the resurrector of Hatcher at GSU.

The Payton Award has to go to the most explosive player in the FCS (if not all of the NCAA)- Jayson Foster. An extreme talent with quality character. Solid condidate.

Top three may be all runners for the Payton now that Santos has been subdued. Not really a standout passing QB except maybe JJohnson.

Those coaches are tough to choose from because you have the same type of "coach with a good team going farther" and "coach who took a down team really far" things.
