Not sure where else to put this, and didn't remember seeing it here

NCAA's got a new trophy, so the prize for this year's winner is gonna look a little bit different down in Chattanooga

The winner is going to get that trophy? So is this the NCAA's way of saying the FCS winner is only the second place champion in Div I? lol

Yes, the NCAA will be awarding the Division II Women's Field Hockey runner-up trophy to the team that wins in Chatty........

Is it just me, or does "national runner-up" sounds better than "second place team"?

I kind of like how UMass has it listed as "National Finalist". At least, I think that is where I saw it proclaimed that way. I think that sounds vene better than "runner-up."

Either one sounds (looks) a lot better than SECOND PLACE TEAM (could the letters be any bigger at the bottom of the trophy?)

Either one sounds (looks) a lot better than SECOND PLACE TEAM (could the letters be any bigger at the bottom of the trophy?)

I wonder if that's actually what it will say, or if that space might be reserved for the school's name? The article doesn't say, just a thought xchinscratchx
