ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. — Cole Ekert shot a 5-under 66 to lead the Richmond Spiders in the first round of the Sea Palms Invitational Thursday at Sea Palms Resort. Ekert's round was the lowest of his collegiate career and tied for the 11th-best single-round score in program history.
