No worries, we blew up Siena too (100-88). The problem is that we're in the CAA and according to this, we're the 6th and 7th teams in the CAA, so it's kind of hard to have that many teams in a poll.

MVC has six teams in the top 25 with another one receiving votes.
That only leaves out Drake, Indiana State, and Evansville.
Why are we in this poll? The A-10 isn't and the MVC is much stronger.

But they're the A-10!!;) xrolleyesx xrolleyesx
I think the MVC is the only conference that can have that many teams in and not seem shocking (for good reason).

mcveyrl...I'm looking forward to JMU visiting Richmond in a few weeks. I'll probably have to miss that one (I live 90 minutes away in Louisville and work at 6am), but I'll either be listening on the radio or watching online.

I'm not convinced we're that great after our beating of Siena, but we do have a transfer from St. Joe's that should be good.
The buzz is that we've been looking forward to this year for a few and that if we're not good this year, we may not be for a while.

Seriously??? There's talk of JMU actually being decent in basketball?? xeekx It's been about a decade since I heard anything remotely positive about the men's team.

That's okay. We blew out a Tulsa team (72-55) that had twenty wins and made the tournament last year. We then lost a squeaker to Maryland 70-66 in the Comcast Center, where the refs threw our head coach out of the game in the first half. We still only got three votes.
