BOONE, N.C. – The Presbyterian College men's wrestling team completes their final preparations for the Southern Conference postseason tournament to be held tomorrow at 10:00 a.m., a bracket that the Blue Hose will enter for the fourth time. One of eight schools vying for the league's top prize, PC will aim to qualify for the NCAA Championships – held later in March – for the first time in the program's young history.Of the 10 official weight classes to be fought for on Saturday, the 133 and 174 groups will be allotted to send both the first and second-place finishers to Tulsa for Nationals two weeks later, however the remaining eight brackets will only be allowed one advancement to the NCAA title stage. In total, the SoCon will bring 12 representatives to the season's final tournament in Oklahoma, to begin on March 16.
