Dover, Del. (Feb. 28, 2023) --- Visiting St. Peter's took two games from Delaware State today, posting an 8-2 victory in the opener and a 5-2 win in the nightcap. In game one, St. Peter's scored first with four runs in the top of the third inning. The Hornets got one back in the bottom of the fourth when Chandler Martin singled with one out, and pinch runner Kayla Lester scored on a two-out triple by Britney Phally. Delaware State added another run in the fourth when Uxua Lopez drew a one-out walk and scored on a two-out single by Dallas Speicher-Ramirez to cut the Peahens' lead to 4-2. St. Peter's put the game out of reach with three runs in the sixth inning and one in the seventh.
