RALEIGH, N.C. – The University of Pennsylvania softball team dropped its third straight game to open the 2023 season on day two of the Wolfpack Classic hosted by North Carolina State University on Saturday morning. The Quakers were shutout in five innings by the James Madison Dukes, 8-0. Penn and East Tennessee State were suspended following the completion of the fourth inning on Saturday afternoon. The two teams will resume the suspended game at the top of the fifth inning at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday morning. The Quakers and the Bucs will then play their regularly scheduled game following the completion of the suspended game.
