Respect flows between Demons/Bison (http://www.shreveporttimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20050910/SPORTS02/509100381/1026)
Northwestern State and North Dakota State have met once before today's game and yet from that one game the teams have built a tremendous amount of respect for their opponent that some rivalries don't have.

NATCHITOCHES -- Before last year's game against North Dakota State, Northwestern State coach Scott Stoker joked that "most of our players don't even know where North Dakota is."
By the time the Demons left Fargo, N.D., with a 30-17 defeat, they knew all they needed to know about the Bison.
"They just really outplayed us," said receiver Toby Zeigler. "It was no secret what they were doing. They took it right to us."
Indeed, NDSU dominated the second half, forcing turnovers on defense, running the ball effectively and wearing down their opponent -- all areas the Demons normally consider their prerogative.
It's safe to say ninth-ranked Northwestern will know what it's in for this time when No. 20 NDSU visits Turpin Stadium at 6 tonight.

North Dakota State, in its second season of DivisionI-AA, is ushering in another new era tonight: green football pants.
The Bison will unveil their new road look at Northwestern State (La.).
They’ve worn yellow pants since the program began a rise to prominence in the 1960s.
The jerseys also underwent a modification with yellow numbers instead of green.
