Most of the stuff that I do is right there on the 'Net. I've been using the same format for 'Game Threads' for the longest period of time and already have all of the schools in our conference's information. It's not that hard...
I love stats and information... :)

its too bad that this game got moved to thursday night to allow for it to be on tv. i expect a very small crowd for this one with how our team played this year.

Attendance is going to take a hit, but these games are good for the schools as far as getting them some publicity...
A lot of SHSU fans are making the trip from wherever they live to Huntsville the previous day for the SHSU-Texas Tech basketball game (tickets have been moving very nicely). With the Kats not in the picture as far as playoffs or SLC championships go, the faithful are committing themselves to the basketball game.

shsu usually travels well to san marcos. i hope to make the game if time allows in my busy schedule. its too bad nothing is on the line other then pride for this game because that is what helped make it a lot of fun the last few years.

I'll actually be missing the game due to travel commitments associated with work. Heading to Lake Charles on Thursday afternoon/evening. Atleast, I'll be in another SLC city. xthumbsupx

Kats hoping to snap skid against Bobcats
SHSU football looking to finish season on five-game win streak
By Cody Stark
Assistant Sports Editor
The previous three season finale matchups between Sam Houston State and Texas State have had a lot riding on them.
In 2004, the two teams met up with a Southland Conference championship on the line and the Bearkats came away with a 27-9 victory that eventually led to a Division I-AA semifinal playoff appearance.
The shoe was on the other foot in 2005 with the Bobcats holding on for dear life in a 26-23 victory in overtime that helped jump-start their run to the I-AA semifinals.

Preview: Sam Houston State at Texas State
Thursday, November 15, 2007
Big picture
A win in tonight's televised game ends the season on an up note for Texas State and equals the 5-6 record the Bobcats posted last season. A loss brings the Bobcats to 4-7 and would mark the fourth time since 2000 that they have mustered just four wins in a season. Last week's loss to Nicholls State guarantees the program its sixth losing campaign in eight seasons.
The Bearkats are riding a four-game winning streak, despite losing prized quarterback Rhett Bomar, the University of Oklahoma transfer, for the season to a knee injury against Nicholls State. Brett Hicks stepped in, finished off the 16-13 win and then led the Bearkats to a 20-16 win over Southeastern Louisiana.

Won't do any good for us located in the Lake Charles area that have Suddenlink Cable. They switched from the normal Fox Sports SW feed to the Fox Sports South feed and instead of the SLC game we get the Miss St.-Clemson basketball game. Who around here wants to see that fricking basketball game? Give me my SLC football.
Needless to say, I'm a little pissed.
That DirectTV dish I've been thinking about is looking better everyday.

Bearkats score 19 points in fourth quarter, beat rival Texas State 29-28
By Cody Stark
Assistant Sports Editor
SAN MARCOS — Sam Houston State shocked a speechless crowd at Bobcat Stadium with a memorable comeback for the ages Thursday night.
Left for dead and trailing 28-10 with just under 10 minutes to go, a series of miraculous plays helped lift the Bearkats to an improbable 29-28 victory over Texas State.
SHSU seniors Byron Richmond and Jerod Brown came up with two key interceptions to set up the late surge and quarterback Brett Hicks hit Chris Lucas on fourth-and-goal from the 5 for the game-tying score with 13 seconds left.

Should be noted that the Bearkats beat the Bobcats without All-American candidate TE Blake Martin and some QB named Rhett Bomar that seems to add another threat to our game due to his feet...
