Dover, Del. (Feb. 20, 2023) --- Junior guard Martaz Robinson scored a career-high 28 points, including two free throws with 8.2 seconds left to lead Delaware State to a 69-68 victory over South Carolina State before an enthusiastic crowd in Memorial Hall this evening. The Hornets snapped a three-game losing, while sweeping the season series against the Bulldogs to improve to 6-20 overall and 4-7 in the MEAC. Robinson was 10-for-16 from the field, including a career-best five-of-five on three-point shots, while hitting three free throws on four attempts to eclipse his previous career-high of 24 points vs. Maryland-Eastern Shore on Jan. 14 of this year. South Carolina State had the final possession of the game following the Robinson go-ahead free throws, but the Hornet defense only allowed a rushed shot attempt by the Bulldogs as time expired.
