Here are a few random thoughts I have about todays game. I liked the arena, it was nice to take my kids too with it being indoors. I think the refs should have had their penalty flags tied around their sacks so they would be more reluctant to throw the laundry around like they did. The Griz D did a lot of bend but don't break, which tends to drive me crazy. I think The Griz O needs to stop being so conservative, mix it up a bit please! The griz fans were out in force and we made some noise today for sure. There were some hellacious punts today, the kicking games on both sides were rockin, lots of touchbacks and great punts. All in all I think the Griz found a way to win, I guess they just like to drive me crazy sometimes in doing it :D

November 10th, 2007, 11:34 PM
Props to the Griz D as the offense only ran 15 plays in the first half. ISU ran the play clock to under 2 on every play to run the clock which gave them a huge TOP advantage. Made me sick to watch Bagley and his wrist! Flashback to Ferriter last year but now the Griz lose their big time possession receiver. We will need someone to step up to take his place and the Cats will be fired up!

RE/MAXGriz
November 10th, 2007, 11:48 PM
All bets are off for the next game, Griz/Cat is a battle regardless the record.

The loss of Bagley today for the Griz was REAL bad (watching the injury as well). Bags is the one the on field and off field leaders of this team, his diving catch against EWU helped spark this team for the rest of the season, so far. Now they're going to have to go without him the rest of the way.

I'm not sure what you thought was so conservative about the offense today. The Griz threw several long passes & averaged well over 10 yards per pass attempt.

After losing Bagley and having Cole fumble it out of the endzone, I got a real sick feeling in my stomach that I hadn't had since UMASS last year. The win kind of made it all better, but I seriously felt robbed when I saw his arm snap, and I can't even imagine how he must feel. :(

It really hurt to see him as he was leaving the field. One of the greatest guys I've ever seen play.

Congrats to the Griz on another win, but this time it feels a little hollow. :(

I'm not sure what you thought was so conservative about the offense today. The Griz threw several long passes & averaged well over 10 yards per pass attempt.

I was going from pure memory, not looking at any stats. From what I remember of the game, there were about 3-4 long passes, the rest were runs on 1st and 2nd down, short pass on 3rd down. Very predictable, very conservative. The only screen play I even remember wasn't supoosed to be one, I think it just looked that way. I guess I would just like to see them be a little less predictable on offense. You could guess from the down and formation, what the play was going to be, but those are just my observations from watching it in the stands. You don't always get the same pictur on TV and there was no replay in the stands.
