Damian Lillard, Weber State alum

An excellent read from Marc Spears of Andscape about Damian Lillard and his commitment to Weber State, even after playing in the NBA. Lillard returns this weekend to the state of Utah as a 7-time NBA All-Star. I am putting it here as it is more about him and Weber State than his time in the NBA.

I thought it was cool that for the past many years, he and CJ McCollum were back court mates with the Trailblazers and both from FCS level schools (McCollum from Lehigh). I thought they presented one of the best back court duos in the NBA. Of course, CJ now in New Orleans where he will be expected to more than supporting cast. I think he is quite capable of handling the focus. I was also hoping that the Sixers might take run at Lillard in the off season. I think it would have sealed the Sixers positioning for the playoffs.
