I have tabulated the Big Sky Conference. The all-time playoff record for current Big Sky members is:

54-44

I don't know how many of these playoff victories came when some teams were at the Division II level, but Montana has a healthy 22-15 record.

In the 80's, especially early, the Big Sky had a whole load of successful teams. It's tapered off since then to primarily Montana alone over the past decade - defections by Boise and Idaho took some of the cream of the crop from the Big Sky - but history-wise the Big Sky was and is very successful.

I thought that Montana had a little better wining percentage than 59% in the playoffs. But 37 playoff games tells you how good this program is.

Isn't that more games than CCU has played, total? (no offense CCU, just DAMN impressive on Montana's part.)

Blowing dust off of my brain (everyone should do that now and then), but didn't Montana State win a national championship in '76? I'm not sure who they played in the playoffs (E Kentucky rings a bell) but it seems that the Cats have won two titles, '84 and '76.

That should give the conference 2-3 more wins.

We won the DII championship in 76, but he was talking IAA I think.

Well you might as well count the NAIA National Championship in '56.

The Mighty Bobcats. The only college in the country to win a NC at three different levels.

Some count the 1964 team. They won the Camilla(sp) Bowl and that is as far as you went in D-II then.
