MACOMB – The Western Illinois track and field team competes at the Illini Challenge on Friday and Saturday this weekend in Champaign. Competing teams include Butler, Central Arkansas, DePaul, Illinois, Indiana Tech, Kent State, Lindenwood, Saint Louis, SIU-Edwardsville and Wisconsin. Friday's competition begins at 11 a.m. while Saturday starts off at 10:15 a.m. The Leathernecks have nine athletes across 11 events in scoring position (top-8) on the Summit League performance list. They look to add more this weekend.
