AMHERST, Mass. — Massachusetts used a 12-0 run over the final 2:42 of the game to send the Richmond Spiders to an 85-76 loss at the Mullins Center Wednesday evening. Jason Nelson's corner three-pointer with 3:06 to play gave Richmond a 76-73 lead, but UMass held Richmond to 0-7 from the field down the stretch to win beat the Spiders for the first time in the last four meetings between the schools.
