Dover, Del. (Jan. 24, 2023) --- Delaware State guard Jevin Muniz (fr.; Bethlehem, Pa,) has been honored by the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) for his play in the Hornets' last two games. Muniz has been selected as the MEAC Men's Basketball Rookie-of-the-Week after tallying 27 points (13.5 pg) and seven assists in two games for the Hornets. He recorded 16 points and five assists in Delaware State's 88-85 overtime win against South Carolina State on Jan. 23 and scored 11 points, highlighted by three three-point field goals, vs. North Carolina Central on Jan. 21. The Hornets are back in action with a home game against Morgan State on Saturday (Jan. 28). Game time is set for 4:00 p.m., following the DSU / Morgan State women's contest at Bayhealth Court in Memorial Hall.
