...similarly confusing as the AGS Poll.....

Just curious what would make it less confusing? Glad EWU is ranked, although I am not very fond of the Eagles I think they've shown they deserve some respect. Not sure Masachusetts dropped far enough that was a pretty bad loss considering the only way they could score was with safeties. Didn't watch the game but from the looks of it the punter was their only "offense" against a 2-6 team. Granted records are not the only indicator of a teams ability RIU could be better than I perceive.

I mean these Stats are icky, looks like they were trying to see who could screw up the most...Did UMass not have its starting QB?

MASSACHUSETTS RHODE ISLAND
First downs 7 10
Rushed-yards 39-117 63-109
Passing yards 22 62
Sacked-yards lost 0-0 1-2

Punts 9-27.4 4-28
Fumbles-lost 2-1 6-2
Penalties-yards 4-26 4-38

I thought Delaware would leap frog Southern Illinois after two big quality wins in a row? Delaware State being ranked 10th is VERY generous IMO. Looks like the stars are aligning for a 1st round playoff matchup between the Bluehens and Hornets. If DSU loses one of their final two games I don't see them dropping far enough to lose out on a playoff bid now that their ranked 10th.

Here is the entire poll and a link. Nice try cutting off your paste job at #29University of Dayton Flyers.xnonox Nice to see Fordham ranked this week! Now, Dayton has a wins over the #22 team and the #40 team in TSN's poll.

This poll, is much better. What I dislike is Villinova. I watched them again this weekend...and they are pretty darn good. I am not sold on Cal-Poly. They have beaten one solid team. 'Nova...much tougher schedule....and winning games.

It guess you could say toss-up but IMHO, 'Nova is better.

How Alabama A&M and Norfolk State are ahead of Nova...i will never understand.

The game was played in the backlash from hurricane Noel. Heavy rain and wind gusts to 50 mph. At one point the URI coach thought the goal posts were going to go over.

It was a day for no offense. Don't read too much into the results.

Wow. That must have been a fun game to play in but not fun to watch. That's what I love about football, you play the game no matter what the elements. (Although I was shocked to read about a high school game down here in MD that was postponed b/c it was windy and raining. Very liberal town afraid they would get a sniffy nose)

Yeah, I was there. One UMass punt went for -1 yards.

The wind was so strong that it was even affecting the URI option. The wind gusts were knocking down the option pitches...

Something's screwed up when the South completely misses hurricane season and New England gets whacked. Welcome to the South.

New England college football seems to get one of these "weather weekends" every season, and the inevitable results are scant yardage and few points. Last year it produced UMass's 7-0 win at Northeastern (and IIRC a 3-0 game between Maine and URI). The year before that our 10-7 win over JMU in Amherst was the annual "weather game."

I'm just impressed the field didn't flood for URI & UMass. A few years ago the UR-URI game had to be played over 2 days when the field was under 3 ft of water.

I'm going to renew my "whats with the SIU hate?" Sure UD is a great team but so is SIU. You could argue that SIU plays a slightly easier schedule but they're also have an average margin of victory ten points higher than UD's. I think arguing the difference of a spot or two is just nit picking...

Polls, smollsxeyebrowx Some are just looking for alittle respect I guess. Either way, we win against UR this wkend and it won't matter if we're #5 or #6. We'll be home to begin the playoffs and after we introduce the Hornets to the Tub, SIU is always welcomed backxthumbsupx xlolx Is Sambrusky off his nightmare meds. yetxnodx

IF SIU were to have a return trip to the tub, Sambrusky would make an appearance. He is the third in the SIU radio broadcast, kind of like the Tony Saragusa roll on the Sunday NFL broadcast on Fox.

Running up the score against a pathetic Indiana State, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Southern Utah and Quincy does not make SIU a better team.

Sure, UD had a couple of weak teams on the schedule, but not 4!
