2. It seems to have very little correlation with "power".

Man, that poll, or whatever it is, is a joke. NAU ahead of MSU and EWU. Are you kidding me. Did this guy not see what MSU did last week, even if OSU is no Big XII power this year, they are still a team with great athletes and size. NAU on the other hand, had a tough first half against a DII team.
EWU looses Meyer for part of the game, against a SJSU that is without question better than their last year's team. But still had chances to win.
I don't blame him for having the Griz low, they haven't really shown anything yet.
I swear this guy does this just to get fans riled up. If NAU shows something against Arizona, then maybe he has a point, we'll see, I guess. I'm not saying NAU is bad, just that other teams, at this point, appear to be better. Come mid season, NAU may be the team to beat in the Big Sky, and then I'll appoligize and acknowledge pete's infinate wisdom.
But no EWU or MSU? At least flip a coin and pick one.

I don't understand how Weber got left out of the "power" ranking. I thought they put up 66 against a D-II team and NAU is ranked and only put up 50 something against a D-II team? I would be pissed if I was Weber.

You got it, blukeys! Man, the Cap'n was on fire on that board!! He's so quiet and reserved on AGS! :D :D I thought his posts were brilliant and informative, but Pete (aka I-AA Fan) had different thoughts. Since the Cap'ns expulsion, that board has been dead.

Jesus, it's a sad day when D1B is a voice of reason and restraint. While Pete's poll may be flawed, the guy has obviously put some effort in. He's also, at least is doin what he can to promote our beloved sport.

With some encouragement and constructive direction, Pete's Poll might get better. Give the guy a break.

I'd love to agree with you D1B, but I'd rather not have this kind of promotion. The "poll" has been flawed for years (used to be posted on the AOL I-AA board before there was an AGS or I-AA.org or any other I-AA sites) and there's no sign of it being fixed. 'Pete' has always claimed that the "poll" gets better as the season wears on.... then stop posting it until week 5 or so. :cool:
