NEC battle today in Albany, as the Great Danes look to move closer to locking up the NEC and Robert Morris looks to stop a 4 game losing streak.

This game is the NEC Game of the Week and is on television via the following networks:
FSN Pittsburgh
FCS Atlantic (Digital tier)
Time Warner Albany (TW3)

Kickoff is in ten minutes!

Yeah, everyone could see how ****TY our high school "stadium" is. The field is unreal itself (GIANTS USE IT) but the place sucks. The fact Ford can recruit here at a high level is a testament to his persona.

Should be a good game.

What's the status of the new digs, Dane? They looked impressive in the drawings that were released.

Dane96

Waiting for the state budget. Scary thing is, imagine what BOB FORD can do with the new stadium?

People dont like coming to the games because of the views and the way the field is situated...it gets extremely cold.

One of the new impt. facets of the new stadium is making it North/SOUTH and not EAST/WEST for the weather. It is part of the environmental study that is about to be undertaken.

We lose about 2-3k fans per game (average 3100) because of this.

Ugly start for RMU!

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 01:12 PM
Announcers are out of their mind- VINNY had TWO guys open!

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 01:13 PM
Gotta love our quarterback. Even when he's not throwing the ball, he still screws things up. Ran right into the fullback and lost the football.

The fumble will go to Myles Russ, but he never had possession.

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 01:13 PM
Announcers are out of their mind- VINNY had TWO guys open!

Yup, and they've said Erik Cwalinski has had a very productive year at QB for RMU....

HAAAAAAAHAHAHAHA!

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 01:14 PM
You guys may get lucky here!

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 01:15 PM
Defense holds them. Chad Wengert is a beast.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 01:15 PM
Vinny has happy feet today.

3-0.

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 01:15 PM
3-0 Albany.

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 01:17 PM
Without Mario Hines back deep, there is no kick return or punt return threat. Michael Blanchard is just too green for RMU.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 01:19 PM
That has to be against RMU!

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 01:20 PM
Are you kidding???? The guy didnt give him room to catch the ball...

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 01:21 PM
Horrible call.

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 01:23 PM
Everything about this game just screams "ugly", whether its the playcalling, officials, broadcast...everything.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 01:25 PM
Refs are terrible.

Nice tackle by RMU.

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 01:26 PM
Refs are terrible.

Nice tackle by RMU.

Our defense is pretty good, they've just been abused by being on the field for so long.

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 01:26 PM
Excellent fake by Albany. Nice execution.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 01:27 PM
Bob Ford is the man. Every game...trick play!

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 01:27 PM
RMU is very stout upfront today. Stopping McCarty is no easy task...and they are doing a good job with it.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 01:28 PM
Schultz is about to get pulled.

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 01:28 PM
RMU is very stout upfront today. Stopping McCarty is no easy task...and they are doing a good job with it.

For now, yes. But if Albany continues to control the football and the clock, it'll get ugly. Because there's no confidence in the offense to do anything for the Colonials.

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 01:29 PM
Nice pressure by Lawrence on the delay. Good coverage downfield, too.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 01:30 PM
This is getting ridiculous. We are not this undisciplined.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 01:32 PM
Wow...what was that throw?

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 01:34 PM
Such an effective offense right there.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 01:34 PM
I have a feeling that once Albany gets on track offensively, this is going to get ugly.

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 01:34 PM
Wow...what was that throw?

Welcome to what Colonials fans have seen all year long.

Players don't want the quarterback out there - they want backup Camdin Crouse - but the coaches love Cwalinski. Coaches randomly bench players on the offensive line despite solid performances.

It's a mess.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 01:37 PM
FACEMASK! Esposito is so freaking strong!

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 01:39 PM
Defensive lineman - Shannon Smoot in this case - should have hauled him down. No excuse for that.

Touchdown Albany. Nice run by McCarty. What are the flags, though?

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 01:39 PM
McCarty sick run...but they are going to get nailed for a celebration penalty.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 01:40 PM
Albany- 10
RMU- 0

Seriously...Bob Ford is going to beat the **** out of the players if they keep it up with the penalties....5 for 40 already.

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 01:41 PM
That was a pretty blatant one, too. Tried the Reggie Bush flip!

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 01:41 PM
RMU will get excellent field position because of the penalty tacked on the kickoff.

Wow...what a hit.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 01:44 PM
Guys...keep an eye on Dungey (95) 6'2 275 and Anderson (91) 6'2 264 on the D-Line. Both are NFL prospects...Anderson only a R-FR...but already getting huge talk.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 01:45 PM
Wow....huge block...Dave West...

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 01:47 PM
I hope Omar gets the call again....he needs a last home TD as a Senior!

Dane96

Coaching staff lost the team.

rmutv

Thank you Rion Listhrop.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 01:55 PM
I didnt want to ask it, however you brought it up: As much as he has done at RMU, do you think it time for a staff change?

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 01:56 PM
They are playing well now. Albany cant get a pass rush all of a sudden (we are pretty good in that dept).

Seahawks Fan
November 3rd, 2007, 01:57 PM
I didn't want to bring it up either.

I love Coach Walton, he's a great guy.

But it's time for a new coaching perspective. Someone that can utilize the athletes this team has. However, I don't think you'll see Walton fired. I think you'll see him see to the end of his contract in 2009 and then retire.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 01:58 PM
There is the rush.

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 01:58 PM
They are playing well now. Albany cant get a pass rush all of a sudden (we are pretty good in that dept).

There's the pass rush, but you can thank Cwalinski for holding onto the football for that one.

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 01:59 PM
"There's nobody open downfield" as there are three white jerseys with no one around them.

Thank heavens for Mario Hines. Two great catches to pick up yardage.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 01:59 PM
Wow...QB almost gets killed....INT goes through hands of Albany...Hines makes a great catch.

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 02:00 PM
Bank shot!

17-3.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 02:00 PM
Kick good off the upright.

12:07 to go in the 2nd

Albany 17
RMU 3

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 02:04 PM
David McCarty is going to have an unreal career at UA. He most likely will put on 10lbs to get up to 200...but he is just quick and tough.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 02:05 PM
Oh....this could get real ugly...going no huddle.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 02:06 PM
Nice play off the EDGE for RMU!

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 02:06 PM
Adam Lawrence is having a huge game defensively so far for RMU.

They do have talent, they just lack leadership on the sidelines and confidence in their abilities.

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 02:09 PM
Stats wise, those are your top rushers, but you have to mention Tim Hall in that category when you talk about great runners with Albany and Robert Morris. Because he played in the first couple years before the NEC was established, he gets forgotten.

Absurd.

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 02:13 PM
Wow, now that's roughing the kicker. Good thing Nick Schirtzinger is a big boy - 5'8, 240 - to not feel that hit.

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 02:16 PM
Nice conversion on 4th down.

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 02:17 PM
Touchdown RMU! Nice pump fake by Cwalinski to hit Julian Ellison.

We have life!

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 02:17 PM
Yep...you do.

Albany 17
RMU 10

4:45 to go in the 2nd Qtr.

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 02:22 PM
Wow, some poor tackling right there by Robert Morris.

McCarty sure is fast, though. So much for momentum.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 02:23 PM
LOL....David McCarty is a machine.

Esposito to McCarty 61 yard TD.

Albany 24
RMU 10

3:16 to go in 34d.

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 02:25 PM
Put Hines back there on the kick return! He's shown he can take a hit with his bad shoulder, let him spark the team!

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 02:26 PM
Seriously...does your QB throw sidearm?

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 02:27 PM
BTW...McCarty already has 146 all purpose yards...85 on the ground.

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 02:27 PM
Seriously...does your QB throw sidearm?

I have no idea. I can't figure out what he's doing, and I've watched him since he came into the program. He's got a strong arm, but he's not accurate. And it just appears that he's throwing the ball with a limp noodle.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 02:30 PM
Nice stops by RMU...would have been huge if Albany put points up there.

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 02:30 PM
Another sack. Mark Syzmanski with his sixth sack on the season. He's going to be good, as he's only a sophomore.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 02:30 PM
Esposito had a guy WIDE OPEN!

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 02:31 PM
Albany gave up only 19 sacks on the year, and that includes playing Montana, Hofstra, Fordham, and Colgate. Not sure what is up with the line today giving up 6.

They are going to hear it in the lockerroom.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 02:32 PM
WOW...blocked punt...fumble on return....Albany gets a break

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 02:32 PM
Wow. Just wow.

You block the punt, and then you don't fall on it?! You're a backup linebacker! Why aren't you falling on it!

And now Albany has the football again.

GAAAAAH!

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 02:32 PM
Esposito has not had a good game at all passing.

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 02:34 PM
Another sack. Wow. Syzmanski in and Smoot and Grant finish it off.

I love this defense so far today.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 02:34 PM
I have had it. No offense to RMU, but the Danes have played much more stout defenses. Our left tackle completely blew his assignment to let Smoot in.

They are playing terrible as a unit.

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 02:36 PM
Cwalinski got jacked up there. Blindside hit, and I'm not sure he knows where he is right now.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 02:39 PM
Bob Ford-- People who don't know him are just missing out. He has bridged the gap nearly 40 years now. Amazing.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 02:50 PM
Wow...public announcement again of the stadium. 15k seats is the number..put the pics up...45-60m dollars. Includes offices, sports med, training facilities.

Hopes to Break ground late 2008, with a play date of Fall 2010.

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 03:00 PM
Walton just looked defeated in that interview. Not good.

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 03:02 PM
Robert Morris just does not look prepared to play on defense on this first series.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 03:03 PM
McCarty is just abusing people...punishing them on the runs.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 03:04 PM
McCarty has 116 yards on the ground...61 on receptions.

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 03:04 PM
McCarty is just destroying people. Wow.

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 03:06 PM
Well, saw that one coming. Right up the gut. Looks like the Danes made some adjustments on the offensive line during halftime.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 03:06 PM
Another huge run for McCarty...2nd TD....20 rushes for 138 yards and 1 catch for 61 yards and a Td.

MONSTER DAY.

Albany 31
RMU 10

11 minutes to go in the third.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 03:07 PM
I would say he is on pace for NEC Offensive player of the week.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 03:08 PM
DID YOU SEE THE HIT FRALICKER LAID ON HINES?

HE IS OUR KICKER!

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 03:08 PM
Nice hit by Fralicker. Glad to see Hines out there, though.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 03:10 PM
Hines is going to hurt....David West just killed Hines....

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 03:10 PM
HInes is a tough kid...and it was actually a good pass.

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 03:11 PM
HInes is a tough kid...and it was actually a good pass.

Yeah, he got hit right in that bad arm too. Hard to hold on to those passes, even though it was accurate, when you've got a bad arm and you get hit like that.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 03:11 PM
Why Ford is a great coach who is an unreal people guy...he just stiff-armed, with a laugh, Bocanegra's face.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 03:13 PM
As much as I want to see McCarty get more yards, but nice move putting Johnson in for his Senior finale.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 03:18 PM
RMU just can't stop Albany. We have our 3rd string TB in now....our change of pace small guy...and he is just tearing the Colonials up.

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 03:20 PM
Well, it took until the third quarter, but this has officially progressed into "ugly" territory.

Better see Camdin Crouse in at quarterback at some point if the game continues to progress like this. Just get the kid some snaps.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 03:25 PM
Wow...that was a hard-earned first down....everyone on RMU paid for it.

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 03:31 PM
Another pass almost intercepted. Just lousy passing right now. Fourth and ten and they're going for it.

He's sacked.

Figures.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 03:41 PM
Branncacio with an INT!

Albany 1st down.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 03:43 PM
McCarty is on pace for a possible national player of the week mention.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 03:47 PM
Scratch that...he is out of the game....but it was a great game for him.

Albany is just running roughshod over RMU.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 03:49 PM
Justin Gannon 2yd plunge.

Albany 38
RMU 10

rmutv
November 3rd, 2007, 03:53 PM
Hines with a nice return, but this one is over.

Nice catch there again by Hines.

Dane96
November 3rd, 2007, 04:04 PM
Omar Johnson for 16 yards...TD!

Albany 45
RMU 17
