Very windy, but no rain yet. NU is running the ball down UNH's throat. First drive of the game for NU took up about 6-7 minutes of the 1st qtr with wind in NU's face. UNH has punted, turned ball over on downs on NU's 15 (never happens), .....

Once the rain arrives, the playoffs may be just a dream, .... unless Santos works some magic on his otherwise complacent teammates

More than just home-field could be at stake. Still work to do just to make the playoffs. No guarantee we get in at 8-3, depending on how things break around the country. Both remaining games (vs. UNH and @ Hofstra) will be tough.

Weather is responsible for the low score and low total yardage, but not for the loss. UMass had its chances but didn't deliver. I can't say whether or not it was focus . . . at least for a change it wasn't penalties (only four for the game I believe) . . . in any case, extremely disappointing.

Excellent synopsis...UMass should have won this and didn't...anyone who blames the weather for the loss is smokin' dope...

The weather did impact Coen and the passing game...but the running game just didn't come through...

And while we didn't make the mental mistakes (penalties) as we have the last few weeks...something went wrong and Coach Brown has some work ahead of him and the team to complete this season in the playoffs...

Yup. UMass passed on an opportunity to kick a chip-shot field goal on 4th-and-goal and go ahead 7-6. Turned it over on downs instead. The game-tying safety followed.

I was pumped. I was outside the entire game, and I think my hands have frost bite. Even still, it was a very entertaining game. I really like the toughness of D.J. Stefkovic, and he has a much better arm than Cassidy. I am looking forward to seeing him finish out the season.
