You are right, and I don't even know if FBS is the right place for them. But if they are actively pursuing it, I don't see any changes in the next couple years. Larsen is trash compared to Taylor and Entz isn't anything more than a placeholder. With good coordinators Entz could be fine, but he doesn't seem like the type to shake things up. It's a hard job that I certainly couldn't do, but that doesn't mean he is the answer.

None the less they could still pull this out. I have seen Stig **** the bed enough times and know there is a reason I haven't heard much about him for higher level positions (don't know if he would go anyway). Even if NDSU wins the current NDSU staff is bad and needs to be replaced.

The Janke twins confirmed they are coming back next year for their sixth and final year. Haven’t heard about Heins yet. This is huge considering we don’t seem to have great depth behind them, we do have an outstanding recruit in Griffin Wilde coming in who should be good, he’ll get to sit behind them for a year and learn hopefully.

no doubt!! Mathis had an awesome game, despite taking a shot early and apparently playing with a fair amount of pain for a chunk of the game.

in my probably meaningless opinion, the Bison played like champs today. there is absolutely no quit in that team. injuries obviously hurt them, but that is definitely part of the game, as the jacks can well attest over the years.

thrilled to have the jacks be so talented and come out and prove it. they have continued to build and build all year and without question played their two best games of the year for the last two games of the year (the way you hope and plan to). i believe they were the best team this year, and also believe that the most meaningful path to a championship (especially the first one) is a path that includes a game against the bison, but you can never count the bison out until the final horn.

congrats to the bison for remaining dominant, despite possibly being a bit down, as well as hurt. WAY TO GO jacks and coach stig and staff!! both teams lose significant players on D. the bison lose some significant players on offense too, while the jacks return almost intact. if you could find someplace to take the bet today, you would not be dumb to bet on these two teams in frisco again next year.

Congratulations to SDSU and their fans... they left no doubt as to who was the better team in all phases. SDSU reminds me of what NDSU used to be and should be the clear favorite next year.

My Bison need to figure out how to be more diverse on offense and improve their defensive front 7 if they want to keep up with SDSU next year.

For now there's a new sheriff in town - enjoy it Jacks fans.They had 260 yards passing and 160 yards rushing today. Some of that was garbage but that ratio was consistent throughout the game. The offense was not the problem from what I saw.

it got beyond crappy losing to the bison, and there is nobody it hurts more to lose to, but ndsu is a great school with a great athletic program and a historic, legendary, and (despite some of your fans thoughts) still dominant football team. i have nothing but respect for you all, and i think it is drastically underestimated and underappreciated how these two schools changed sports and life in general in these two states by having the courage to move to D1 together when they did, despite everyone else lacking the courage and wisdom to go with them and telling them they were idiots

Congratulations SDSU. They were the better team today. Totally outplayed NDSU. I didn't have 1 single SDSU fan make any snide comment while we were walking out or while the kids and I were playing catch in the grass area SE of the stadium. Had 1 nice SDSU fan that chatted with me for a little bit.

All fan bases have their a-holes. Hell, I heard an a** of an NDSU fan after the personal foul penalty (which was 100% the right call BTW) yelling NDSU should hit the SDSU punt returner after he fair caught it. That was totly classless.

The sun will come up tomorrow and I still have seen NDSU win 9 titles in 12 seasons in person in Frisco. To make it better a LOT Of those trips have been with the kids.

Strange I've been hanging out at SDSU bars all weekend and tailgated with them this morning. Didn't see anything of the sort.

A few Bison fans always come up with stories when they lose. I have heard the same about UNI fans, UND fans and of course, SDSU fans. We hear the same in BB from the Summit League tournament if they lose. It is a very small contingent of Bison fans who cannot accept defeat and it seems they always will claim the opposing fans are doing horrible things.

In the day and age of smart phones, video and photos at the finger tip, there never seems to be evidence of the terrible deeds. Not saying all SDSU fans are pure, I'm sure some obnoxious things occur. But the only video I have seen of Bison/Jack interaction so far, two big guys with beards singing Karaoke. I actually like the Bison fans I have met at games. They are a lot like the SDSU fans, just more confident in the game outcome based on success. Christian22 posts the same tripe on Bisonville under a different name. Nothing to see, I get he impression he is pretty young and passionate, and he seems overly invested in Bison wins.

There are always a few on BOTH sides. Other than a little (over)exuberance occasionally directed at NDSU fans (I was sitting in a section with both), the SDSU fans I encountered in Frisco were just fine. Our fans have done the same in previous years. It doesn’t feel good to lose, and on the other side, it is easier to act politely when you win (whether or not one chooses to do so is another thing). In my encounters, the SDSU fans have been polite and great to interact with. The part I think is most interesting is that both teams’ fans have traveled nearly the same geographical route, and therefore, we have been interacting (or at least crossing paths) for days now. There are bound to be good interactions and some not so good. But for the most part, and specifically from and to me, the interactions have been full of class. Quite honestly, I respect what SDSU has done and appreciate that they made the jump with NDSU, so I would simply say, “Congratulations, enjoy it (with class), and I am looking forward to meeting again in Brookings (and maybe beyond) next year.”

As a DFW rabbit fan, I didn't make the Brookings games. But I worked with the Alumni Association to set up some local venues for watch parties and pre/post game celebration.

I was at the first NDSU championship game in Frisco (as I had promised some still to this day Bison friends I met in Fargo for Lafayette-NDSU game Sept 2011 that I would go if they made it) and loved Frisco. I went to history museum and although I had read in papers about Friscos growth was amazed where the town was in 1980). I actually saw and talked to a dude wearing a Lafayette sweatshirt at halftime - he lived in the area, was LC grad, and wanted to see the game. I wore both Leopard and Bison gear at the game. I was going to go this year BUT damn Sunday afternoon. ESPN is ruining 1AA ( I guess we cant call it FCS anymore now that FBS is essentially moving to playoff format - besides I grew up saying 1AA and its easier to think and say!)
