Dutch Eredivisie league leaders PSV lost their head coach today to Valencia. :( PSV is 7-2-0 so far in the Eredivisie, and is 1-1-1 so far in group stage of the Champions League (1 point out of advancing to the knockouts).
I'm sure Mourinho's name was brought up, and I'm surprised he didn't take the position at a high profile club like Valencia. But why did they have to take Koeman away from PSV??? xbawlingx I expect PSV to fall out of the CL and Eredivisie race very soon. xsmhx

Martin Jol, former skipper of tottenham, may get some consideration as well.

Don't think so...PSV is holding a press conference very shortly (8PM over there). While they haven't specifically said what it's for, it's most likely about the resignation of Koeman.
Thom....got any news from that side of the pond? xwhistlex

You mean the team with 1 point (i.e., no wins) so far in the CL, 6 points out of first and 4 points out of 2nd with 3 games left??? :D
My second favorite team, FC Porto, is in place to be the 2nd team to advance in the same group. xnodx

I COULD ONLY HOPE....too bad Raf couldn't manage his way out of a paper bag right now.
WTF was he thinking when he was putting in Crouch with 20 seconds left in Extra Time?
Seriously-- Does he do this just to **** with the guy?

No fears, they're a resilient team and will deliver.

If they lose one more game, they are essentially eliminated. Tough task, considering they've lost 2 out of 3 and can't score more than 1 goal a game. Although they DO have 2 of the last 3 games of the group stage at home. Certainly helps a little. xsmhx
If they weren't in the same group as Porto, I'd be rooting for them. But alas...

They do have a couple of warm up games (Cardiff City & Blackburn) prior to Besiktas, so hopefully they'll get straightened out.
