Mercer vs UTC is an interesting discussion.
Do you put more value on a bad loss or a head to head win all else being pretty much equal?

Good question - I'd still put Chatty above Mercer but I suppose you could make the argument that Chatty's 20 point win over Mercer was a fluke given the respective results against the common opponents (WCU and Samford) each of them played yesterday. I just don't think it's a very good argument.
UNH is getting punished for a bad loss though as well being 4 spots behind an Elon team they beat handily. Same with Delaware being a spot below URI who they beat by 21.

You do realize Samford beat Furman, at Furman. And Samford went undefeated in Conf play. I'm just curious about you justification. What was your reasoning for this? FuBear didn't get to you did he? LOL.

Good participation by voters. 45 voters and we have had a fairly consistent 49 or so. A couple head scratchers though, as mentioned above.

Losing to the #26 team and a fellow conference champion is not a bad loss.

Agreed, I think it looked a lot worse at the time than it does now. But that's got to be the reason why UNH is ranked below Elon in the consensus.
I know trying to rank the trio of CAA teams that finished 8-3 was tough because Elon beat Richmond, Richmond beat UNH, and UNH beat Elon but of those 3 head-to-head matchups UNH's win over Elon was clearly the most decisive.

Random question but do the STAT & coaches polls get released after the committee has already made their selections? If so, then what's the point?

I mentioned it in the article but didn't in this thread with all the hullabaloo surround Selection Sunday this morning but Sac St reached #1 in the AGS Poll for the first time ever (the AGS Poll dates back to the 2004 season).
