I have directV and dont get the Laffay or Lehigh games even though I'm less that 15 miles from both schools. How much does it cost to get these channels?

Too many trees on my lot. My access to the southern skies is lacking.

I'd love to get DirectTV but I'm stuck with the evil empire -- Cablevision.xnonono2x

As Peems pointed out earlier, the only problem with DirectTV in Missoula in the lack of local channels, so, no Griz game on tv. :(

So do you get the L.A. network affiliates instead of local channels?

I assume there are very few parts of the country where you don't get the local channels on DTV.

I get feeds from LA and NY for ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox.

I will try that. It didn't work with the old tv, but we just got a new one.

Thanks. I thought if local channels weren't available andyou were in the Mountain and Pacific TZ, then you got L.A. affiliates and the East and Central TZ got NY stations. Getting both is not that bad and like someone posted here you can always use an antenna for your local stations.

Not mention, in addtion to the Sports Pack (which includes practicly evry regional sports network in the U.S., plus CSTV, ESPNU, and others), DTV is the only provider of the NFL Sunday ticket.

I really love DTV (and watch too much of it) :)

The Ivy, CAA, and NEC all have conference game of the week packages that make it to DirecTV. The Patriot League does not, in part because Lehigh and Lafayette want to keep their own networks.

I see that as a blessing! pay the $3/month or whatever and get the East Coast AND West Coast network feeds. That's what we had when I lived in Boone, and I loved it.

Put up rabbit ears for the locals.

I think its $1.25 for each, so for the 8 channels (LA and NY feeds) I pay $10/month.
