Yes Navy has a good offense, but even you have to admit the Hens played some terrible D. Navy is punting on 4th down and no one from Delaware is covering the wideout, the punter takes the snap throws it to the wideout, first down. Late in the 4th I think the score was Delaware 52, Navy 42, Navy has the ball, WE ALL know Navy has to pass, so what happens, Delaware leaves the Navy WR WIDE OPEN, no one within 15 yards of this guy, so what happens, a 60 yard pass the guy is down at the 5, a few plays later TD Navy, now it's 52 - 49 Delaware. Maybe saying Delaware played terrible is a little harsh, but they had some major breakdowns on D. Congrats to Delaware that was a great win for the Hens, I watched the whole game on T.V. and I was sitting on the edge of my seat the whole time (CHEERING for DELAWARE) the game was back a forth ,back and forth. Way to go HENS. xthumbsupx

And Navy is last in the country in passing. Chances are, when your a team like Navy and you run 90% of the time and only pass 10% of the time, chances are your going to be tops in the country in running. xrolleyesx

It certainly did not look like it.

That and it would have been one of the dumbest coaching moves PJ could have made. With 2:02 on the clock UD was only ahead by a field goal at 52-49 when Cuff broke free for a 37 yard TD run. If Navy stops UD they still had a chance to tie with just a field goal. I don't know many coaches who would deliberately put their team in a position to have to make up 10 points (2 scores) instead of 3.

Hopefully, someday, other I-AA teams get to experience a gameday in Annapolis. Navy fans were definetley friendly. I was very disappointed with the fly by. No fighter jets as scheduled, just some propellered prop plane of some sort.

Not sure if fighters were actually schedueled like the F-18 fly by in 03'? That prop a/c was a EP-3 sub-hunter. Since the ending of the cold war, the a/c has various other recon-missions other than sub hunting. This is the same type a/c that had a mid-air over the south china sea back in 01' with a fighter from China. The EP-3 had to make an emergency landing at Hainan Island off the mainline(not Nova's) coast of China, with it's radome(nose) and propeller damage.
Yes, nothing like a low fly-by of F-18's, but atleast the pilot Sat. was from Delawarexthumbsupx
