Don't follow the NBA, but I see that the Boston Celtics are on the cover of Sports Illustrated this week. They are ranked preseason #1 in the Eastern conference by SI. Let's see...we've got the Red Sox in the World Series, the Patriots are looking like a juggernaut in the NFL, UMass is in the top 5 in the FCS and may win the CAA, and Boston College is number 2 in the BCS.
What's going on up there?

They are the ultimate sports city right now and have been for a while now... at times other cities have had that label but no one can argue that boston is the top of the list right now

After tonight we probably won't be hearing much about Boston College.

Very true, although I am hoping Michigan gets to ruin Ohio States season.

Also, Harvard is tied for first in the Ivy and Holy Cross is a serious contender for the Patriot League title.
It's a good time be a sports fan living in Massachusetts.

He can no more get over it than I could ever root for the NY Yankees...
I gotta admit, i have a wide range of hats to wear these days...I've almost worn out my Sox caps...
But no matter what the Boys from the Fens do tonight, tomorrow I wear my Patriots hat since they are playing the local bumpkins this weekend...:p :p :p

what facts might those be? that the yankees waged an illegal war of coercion? that the States are Sovereign? that the Army of Northern Virginia killed many, many, many, but not nearly enough, of the invading yankee horde? that the State of SC is now and has been since 1865 occupied by a foreign power?
