He gave you the xsmiley_wix ... FWIW, the SIU and UNI games that year felt much more lopsided... they were over in the first quarter.
I think the Hens actual most lopsided victory was 93-0 over William and Mary in 1915. Modern day most lopsided was 84-0 over West Chester in 2000. The Hens returned an interception 100 yards on the final play of the game for the last score. That year the Hens first three home game were won by 164-0 (38-0 over The Citadel, 84-0 and 42-0 over Northeastern) and they averaged over 46 points per game at home. xeyebrowx

I'd consider a 40-0 win in the National Championship more lopsideed then say 90-0 against a Div III.

Just to remind ASU fans who there daddy was back in the late 70's...
Chattanooga 72, Appalachian State 14 (1978)
(I believe this is still the modern record for largest margin of victory in SoCon play???)
I know they Mocs have beat the dog poo out of some little rinky dinks over the years...the lastest being Kentucky State (73-0) in 2001.
Speaking of DII, the irony of losing to Carson Newman this season was that the Mocs had never lost to them in 3 previous games and had won 93-0, 20-0, 83-0 (all of those being played back in the 20's)
Chattanooga 70, Louisville 0 (1928)
(largest margin of victory over a "big" program...though they stunk back then)
Chattanooga 31 Mississippi 6 (1945)
(largest margin of victory for the Mocs against an SEC team)
Made me think, what is the largest margin of victory for the Mocs against each SoCon team (I will purposely leave out our biggest SoCon losses :))
ASU 72-14 (1978) Home
CIT 42-7 (1986) Away
ELON 24-7 (2003) Away
FUR 34-0 (1957) Away
GSU 45-38 (2007) Away

Why? So they could spend 2/3 of the season boasting about having the best defense (ppg) and second best offense (ppg) in the conference.
