PHILADELPHIA – Senior defensive back Kendren Smith recorded three total takeaways on Saturday against Columbia as the University of Pennsylvania football team defeated the Lions, 34-14 at Franklin Field. For his stellar performance, Smith was named FedEx Ground FCS National Defensive Player of the Week as well as Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week Monday afternoon, announced by STATS Perform.
