The Dartmouth field hockey team scored first for a second straight game and was within striking distance until the final horn, but the result was similar to Friday's near-upset of No. 15 Harvard, as the Big Green fell to visiting UMass Lowell on Sunday, 4-3. After scoring twice against the nation's second-ranked defense on Friday, the Big Green's three goals against UMass Lowell Sunday were tied for the most the River Hawks have given up all season. UMass Lowell were 13th nationally in scoring defense entering the weekend and entered Sunday's contest with a 9-5 record.
