Another reason why Elon should be getting some respect this week and why I still have Montana on the fringe of the top 5.

Like I just posted on another topic, McNeese should have won their game against Nicholls State by a lot more. Just take a look at the game stats. I think this pole has them in the right position.

And what do the top 4 teams have in common? They all beat (or played close) a I-A school. This list don't mean squat as to who's the best I-AA teams....

None of the 6 teams highlighted should be ahead of Montana...

And UMass is questionable. xpeacex xpeacex xpeacex xpeacex

It's Sagarin, which means if you played an All SEC schedule and lost everygame you would be rated number 1 in FCSxnodx xrolleyesx

I dunno, I kinda like the Hens against the Griz, even if the game was in Missoula (we are undefeated there). xthumbsupx :p

Why not McNeese? They've beaten a I-A and a ranked team in Nicholls and are undefeated.

Look at their schedule:

Southern Utah - winless
Ft. Lewis - DII, so I don't even know if that game is factored in
Albany - mediocre team from a mediocre conference
Weber State, Northern Colorado, and Sacramento State - 7th, 8th, and 9th in the Big Sky
and Eastern Washington - medium difficulty opponent

If Montana beats Northern Arizona this week (which they probably will), they should go up a little bit in the rankings.

Gotta love the way a win against Montana seems to be the program defining victory for some programs. xrolleyesx

Montana, the benchmark against which other schools measure themselves!

They talk about these rare victories for years, but deny to the hilt that they're measuring their programs against the Griz.... xlolx xlolx xlolx xlolx xlolx

Southern Utah--- winless because they have, bar none, the most difficult schedule in the FCS. A decent team with an impossible schedule...
Albany --- will probably end up winning their mediocre conference
Weber, UNC, Sac State --- Hey, we gotta play em sometime, don't we? Does Brown NOT play the bottom dwellers in their conference?
Eastern Wa --- Medium difficulty for who? Brown? Yeah, about 52-7 medium....
