Here's an amazing fun stat.

Since 1996, the team with more first round picks on their roster during the season has won the World Series every year. That's 10 for 10, with one tie (1997 both had the same number). Go back a few more years, and its 12 out of 13, with only the 1995 Braves/Indians series going the other way since 1992.

This year, the Red Sox are thus the favorite to win the whole thing.

Best of luck to both teams. The Red Sox have had an excellent regular season and have earned their place in the World Series. The Rockies have done something no other team has done over the last month or so, and their run has been a great thing for baseball. Whether it were a 7 game series or even a sweep either way, I'd be happy with how the season and series will play out since both would be deserving champions.
