Well if they're better than 7-8 teams in the top 15 then it sounds like being #7 is about right.

They'd lose to a majority of the teams in the top 25.

Jackson State led Alabama State (one score wins over D2 Miles, Texas Southern, and a ten point win over always tough Howard) 17-12 midway through the 4th quarter. They won 26-12.

This is a fringe top 25 team who have capitalized off of beating terrible competition over the past couple years and Deion Sanders. Deion Sanders.

Campbell is going to roll this team on October 22.

Don't know if you grabbed that from the NCAA or CBS but I'll post both.

The coaches still voting for EWU should be banished from the poll forever, if not fired from their jobs. They are incompetent.

Would they lose to VMI? Probably not.

I'll continue my gripes from last week. UND still only ORV is comical. Davidson still getting 4 votes even after losing to St. Thomas? Last week, I said there's probably 35 teams that would boat race Davidson and they went out and proved me right. St. Thomas got 1/4 of the votes of the team THEY JUST BEAT, and even that 1 vote is too much. They got blown out by mediocre SUU, who is on no one's radar for top 25. And Stetson?!?!?! ****ing Stetson? Stetson just lost by 14 AT HOME to a 2-3 Marist team and whoever voted for them last week did it again? Georgetown... yes, that Georgetown, DESTROYED Marist to open the year. PFL coaches are voting for their own. Gotta be.

Umm. VMI isn't in the top 25. Is it? And I'm fairly sure they would lose to most of the top 20. He was being generous.
Maybe they split games in the 20-25 range. That is where they belong with their SOS. They might be better, but nobody has any data that supports that position. Now, if they beat Campbell I will bump them up to the 15-20 range, possibly. If they get smoked, bye-bye.

UIW would beat Jackson State to death

While I generally agree that Jackson State is probably overrated by the media polls and the coaches' poll, they DO appear to have a pretty formidable defense, allowing just 50 points thus far this season.

I think the #17 ranking AGS experts placed JSU at makes the most sense. Similar territory to where a strong Ivy typically gets ranked. "We know you're good but because you don't play anyone we don't know HOW GOOD".
