This is what I wrote....
Mr. Francona, you are one of the worst managers in the game. The only reason you have a job here is because that was the cost of doing business with Curt Schilling, he's gone this winter and so are you. So at this point you should give the fans a farewell gift and give us Jacoby Ellsbury so we can win this series and then smack around the Colorado Rockies and give you a second World Championship to add to the resume you will be distributing to teams this winter. It's a win-win situation.

Question: Can Terry Francona make Manny Ramirez give a "****" about whether they win or not? Is Manny's attitude Francona's fault? I think not. Boston is the new New York...buncha overpaid primadonnas....with ManRam being the poster child. Their chances of winning this series hang somewhere between "slim" and "none"...and I'll laugh my ass off when they're DONE. xlolx xlolx xlolx xlolx xlolx xlolx xlolx xlolx

Manny Ramirez is great! He is anything but a prima donna he just plays the game because he loves it. If the Red Sox fans took Manny's attitude they wouldn't have to right things like what Travis just wrote.
Also, Travis weren't you singing the praises of Francona a few weeks ago?

Did you hear the whole interview with Manny or just picking the one line the media used?

Yes, because clearly Francona, who won the World Series in 2004 and led the team to the best record in baseball this past season, is holding this team back. xrolleyesx
This kind of backseat driving with Torre drove me nuts with Yankee fans, and it's really no better here. I know the man's not perfect, but it's possible, I would think, that Francona has his own reasons for playing the people he does. Given he's been a rather successful manager in his short stint in Boston, I'd be willing to give him the benefit of the doubt

I'd agree to start Ellsbury & have Torre manage the Sox next year.
