I was sitting in section 130 in the Georgia Dome last night and I was thinking who fast my beloved team when from Sugar to shyt!!!!

Say ehat you want about Mike Vick, but I do know that he made my team respectable.

People wanted to see the Falcons play.

We were on MNF every year for 6 years.

We had a good time at the tailgates before the games.

Other teams had to play us difference.

We were rushing the football like the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

ANd now, my team and city is split down racial lines(this is 2007 not 1907)

Saying all of this, I will still love my Falcons....GO DURTY BIRDS!!!!!!!

As an Atlanta native I was rooting for my favorite NFL team last night only to be thouroghly disgusted by the offense that trotted out there after the first quarter... really sad performance... the defense wasnt horrible during the second and third quarters but still not enough... there are a lot of problems back home and IMO Bobby Petrino is the number one problem

A relative of mine is on the coaching staff and he said that losing Vick really put a kink into this years plans. I think if you give Petrino some time he will get a QB who can play in his system and Atlanta will be just fine.

But people blammed Vick for every sorry aspect of that team when he was there overlooking the fact that VICK was the only reason the Falcon's won the games they did. xnodx

Vick's fault he's not there but so called football fans have finally gotten what they been asking for ........................... VICK GONE. xthumbsupx

Bingo

Well, that and WR who can hold on to passes. Giants fan here, and this game would have been a heck of a lot closer if the Falcon recievers could have just kept the ball in their hands. Harrington actually played a pretty solid game, showed a lot of toughness. Still, Falcon fans might want to start getting fitted in their "Brohm #12" jerseys for next season xtwocentsx

I been saying that for year's but all people wanted to throw out was VICK's COMPLETION ratio and say HE CAN'T PASS.
People reciting what these rating's driven "expert's" say on talk radio and TV.

He!!................He could pass all along.
His receiver's couldn't catch worth a damm. xlolx
A blind mofo could see that.xlolx

Whenever your TE is the leading and BEST RECEIVER you got on the team, your offense is shot.

Well atleast you're not dumping it all on Joey -- his O line could not protect a pencil last night.

Come on, we all know Tomlinson is their best receiver. And possibly QB too...

That O line was terrible when Vick was playing. The difference was Vick could scramble out of it.

That's the same O-line Vick had. They didn't protect him either.

I've been a Falcon fan since they beat the Vikings in the NFC championship game. Of course Packers are my #1.

LT has great hands, but I'd take Gates as my #1 receiver anyday over any of the Falcons WRs...

That's why the whole concept of a "franchise player" is pointless to me.

Franchise Player don't help the Player in my opinion outside of getting a lot of guranteed money in one year.

I have alway's said it create's a way for the owner's to keep their most popular player or biggest draw from leaving. xlolx
This way, they don't have to choose who is going to get the long mega contract all in the same year.

Example.
The St. Louis Rams paid Faulk, Bugler, Stephon Jackson, Holt, etc., in contracts.
The only worth while O-Lineman we had was Orlando Pace.
They franchised him 5 years in a row to 1 year contract's while locking up the others.
Pace couldn't leave for another team and they didn't have to choose between a RB or a O-Lineman for the big long term contract.

I don't know if he'll do much better. This is an awful team, and the problems aren't all at QB.

Believe me...I agree with ya! The offensive line is horrible. The receiving corps couldn't catch a cold...I watched Crumpler drop at least three passes that were delivered right to the bread basket.xsmhx

I thought the two rookie OT did a decent job against Osi Unmiohneoi;uyara and Strahan on MNF.

Better than Mr. Stud USC grad Winston Justice did...
