Wofford - 0
Virginia Tech – 41 – Beatdown of the Week – The Terriers go into week four without scoring a point.

Cornell - 21
VMI – 24 – The Keydets hang on at home to get a OOC win for the SoCon.

Presbyterian - 17
Western Carolina – 48 – There will be lots of points in this game, mostly from the Catamounts.

North Alabama - 10
Chattanooga – 24 – UNA likes to run the ball, UTC likes to stop the run – in the end the Mocs defense prevails.

The Citadel - 17
Mercer – 31 – Riding high after their win last week can the Bulldogs pull out another upset? Not today and the Bears pull out the win at home.

Samford - 31– Samford travels north and their new found defense helps them come away with a win.
Tennessee Tech - 21

Furman – 28 – Game of the Week – Furman makes it two losses in a row for the Bucs. The Bucs aren’t bad, but the Paladins are better.
ETSU - 24

Power Ranking
1.) Chattanooga – Got a win on the road to stay perfect.
2.) Mercer – Well rested after this week.
3.) Furman – Put up a good showing against #5 Clemson.
4.) Samford – Didn’t get embarrassed by #2 Georgia.
5.) Western Carolina – Fought hard against the Yellow Jackets.
(the next three were pretty hard to figure out the order)
6.) The Citadel – Huge win over the ranked Bucs. How much of a difference a week makes.
7.) ETSU – Not sure what to do with the Bucs – They probably should be higher than 7, but I’m not sure who to drop.
8.) VMI – Again, probably better than 8, but I expected a better showing against Bucknell.
9.) Wofford – I’m just not sure what’s wrong with the Terriers, but it seems to start at the top.

VMI could do no wrong the first 21 minutes.....team still needs to learn to step on the throats of the opposition.

I'm picking the upset:

Wofford will score points against VT.

No, they won't win.

They'll score points.

I think that is not that farfetched. I was going to say something like 45-10. If for nothing else, I'm sure there will be some adjustments made. At least if I was the coach there would be.

I want to say through 2 weeks we have less than 300 yards of offense...

If any of us were the coach, adjustments would have been made last season.

When VT empties the bench in the 4th, we’ll pick up a score or two.

Hey y’all…If anyone wants to tabulate / cumulate these weekly picks, track standings, SoCon Pick’em Winner…whatever, feel free to have at it. Noticed several of the other conferences weekly picks threads do that. FUBeAR is all for it, but he ain’t gonna do it.

Seems like something BlckGldRevolution or ElCid would enjoy doing.

Eh, my task cup runneth over. The poll itself takes a lot of my brain cells. We all know who is correct most of the time and who FUBeAR is.:D

But we'd have pretty crappy stats. The SOCON, as usual, is going to be a mess. Parity is going to rule with the upsets and head scratchers. Unless something changes. Everyone but Wofford has had at least one pretty good week so far. it may firm up in two weeks. But if someone does decide to track, make a hard starting point because I am not sure folks did it consistently so far. Only fair.

Wofford at Virginia Tech – Hard times for the Terriers; can their Offense make some adjustments; their D might be OK, but not nearly enough to matter; I’m going the positive route for them and say they score after their 240 miles trip from Spartanburg to Blacksburg – 45-7

Cornell at VMI – The Keydets won last year, but it ain’t the same Keydets; Cornell played a couple decent Ivies tight last year; they have the longest travel in games involving the SOCON this week with a 445 miles trek from Ithaca to Lexington; VMI at home, close – 28-23

Presbyterian at Western Carolina – The Blue Hose travel 145 miles from Clinton up into the mountains and the Cats pad their stats in Cullowhee – 52-6

The Citadel at Mercer – The Dogs played better for sure, on both sides of the ball; but ETSU made a couple poor decisions early that could have turned the tide in their favor; as it was we kept them on their heels; I can’t see Mercer making the same mistakes, so unless we continue the improvements big time, the Bears should win; I liked the short quick strike passing game we had; made ETSU think twice about stacking the box and we had a few big runs as a result; it’s not like Bulldog fans have not been screaming for that for a couple years now, but we have a QB who can finally execute it successfully with consistency – The Dogs travel 270 miles from Charleston to Macon; Mercer by a couple scores – 35-24

North Alabama at Chattanooga – The Mocs beat them on the road easy enough last year; hope they don’t overlook them; 175 mile trip for the lions – Mocs fairly easy – 34-10

Samford at Tennessee Tech – The Bulldogs travel 250 miles up into Tennessee; after giving up a ridiculously big lead in 2019 and losing, Samford pummeled them last year by 38; with a defense that stymied Georgia at times, they should repeat – 41-10

Furman at ETSU – It’s a SOCON game; nuf said; Furman travels 120 miles over the mountains to Johnson City; they’ve each won one and lost one at home over the last four match ups; they were all one possession games with a total point difference in those 4 games of 17; you got to imagine ETSU will be staring at a steep climb to the autobid if they lose this so it will be a hard fought game; Furman is still a bit of a mystery even if they looked good against Clemson; but the Tigers were not very worried about not winning or racking up style points; still, there is something about Furman, that has been lacking lately, but seems to be back; Furman in a close one – 25-20

Power Ranking (unlike others who may treat this as a W/L standing, I don’t. I don’t care if a team has beaten another team, they may still be ranked lower; consistency and my impression count more) After our win, I can see any team except Wofford pull an upset in conf play.

1) Chattanooga – Looking fine
2) Mercer – Got the week off
3) Furman – This week will tell the tale
4) Samford – Looked good this week in loss to Georgia
5) ETSU – yeah, they lost, but they are still a real good team
6) WCU – Still needs to tighten up a bit, but headed in right direction
7) The Citadel – One win does not a turnaround make, but headed in right direction as well
8) VMI – Hate them here after a win, but need to see them do better against good competition
9) Wofford – Dumpster fire

ElCid… makes a good point about FU.
Furman is a bit of a mystery-up to this point.

You have to go back a ways to claim Furman had a great, all SoCon potential QB.
Maybe Reese Hannon? But, if I want to compare what I've seen so far of Huff to other Furman great QBs.
Huff has a mix of Justin Hill and Bill Napier. Napier was an accurate passer and a tough-minded QB. Justin Hill was more of a dual threat, Hill could make plays with his feet and his arm.

Furman has done something so far I didn't think was possible. Furman has made significant offensive changes, no smoke and mirror stuff. And yet somehow still has IMO a Furman identity.
It's one thing to say Furman played physical football against North Greenville, it's another to say they delivered the bigger blows against Clemson. I'm not talking cheap shot stuff—it was things like Huff lowering his shoulder on QB keepers and getting extra yards against the Clemson defense. Also we saw the big back duo of Furman leaving Clemson defenders on the turf after trying to make a tackle.

I expect Furman to see tougher games in the SoCon, we have a lot to prove starting this weekend.

The pre-season assumption is that the Bucs were really good, so the pollsters have to decide were the Bucs over-rated, or was The Citadel under-rated? Of course it could be that ETSU had a really bad game, or the Bulldogs a really good game, or some combination of all four. It looks like a lot of the voters think ETSU is a good team and that The Citadel was under rated.

To be honest, I'm not sure what to think of the Bulldogs yet. I do think that new ETSU coach George Quarrels was having a little growing pains as a new D1 HC and made some mistakes.

To be honest it's hard to know much about Furman too. They've yet to play an team of equal talent, having played a team that they clearly outclassed, and one that clearly outclassed them (though they did fairly well). I'm of the opinion that Furman is a top-25 team, but they haven't really gotten a chance to prove that yet. That changes starting this week.

We definitely had a bad first game. Lots of mistakes and bad timing. QB wasn't settled in very much. Team wasn't prepared. I am still cautious and think we are not yet top shelf. Our new punter, after having one of the best in the country graduate, is having real issues. Penalties are killing us. As I mentioned earlier ETSU made a couple bad calls. They got burned. Maybe new coach jitters. I think they thought they could force their way through to a win so they were a sloppy with their decisions. Our success in the air also kept them off balance.

My post Campbell comment was "I believe Citadel has better football ahead of them"...to which som said no way...but I think they are a decent football team. I don't think they are good enough to beat #8, but still good...I don't think ETSU should be #8 (and that showed). Citadel is a 4th or 5th place team in the socon. They won't win the league, but they very well may determine who doesn't win it!!!

Higher than average odds considering Cit's propensity to beat teams they should lose to, and lose to teams they should beat.

Another FWIW, there was some major concern in Catamount-land after Carlos Davis went out of the game with a shoulder injury against Georgia Tech. Per Coach Bell on his weekly coach's show, Carlos was begging to go back into the game and should be ok this week. That seemed to be backed up with the announcement of the 2-deep with Davis listed as the starter for our home opener against Presby this weekend. A large sigh of relief, and hopefully Davis can get some stats and be pulled from the game early given the Blue Hose have struggled in their first 2 contests. Of course with our recent history, no W is guaranteed and that is why it is good to hear our starting QB should be good to go.

FUBeAR saw this movie last year … when the Starter injured his shoulder, but was supposedly OK…Davis was #2, and Davis was the ‘surprise’ Starting QB…against Mercer, if recalling correctly. And, the original Starter returned, but he never quite looked as full-go as he did before the injury to his shoulder.

Wouldn’t put a lot of stock in what Coach Bell tells the public about his QB’s pre-game. Either way, Cats will be fine vs. the Ho’s. Gonzalez looked capable, if young & raw (only because he is), against Tech. PC barely beat one of these fake Teams that is used to losing every game by half a hundred or more.

The REAL question is will Davis (who FUBeAR loves, BTW - thought he was better than the heavily decorated BYOQ guy the Bells shipped in & had starting last year) be fully recovered for Samford on 9/24 and the tough games that follow? Shoulders are tricky and can be slow to heal to 100%. Western has a chance to win the SoCon with Davis - probably not without him.

wcugrad95
September 14th, 2022, 09:45 AM
Personally, I would probably sit Davis this week even if he is ready. Keep Samford guessing if he will be back on 9/24. Gonzalez listed as the #2 for the first 2 games scares me a little given he has only been exposed to this offense for a short time. Davis was #2 last year not because he wasn't physically as good (most would say better) than Rogan Wells. Wells just knew the offense way better. I will argue a little with FUBeAR here on last year. Wells did sit out some with a similar shoulder injury, but he finished the season with pretty crazy stats in the last 4 games (passing for 309, 385, 386, and 401 and rushing for 48, 91, 50, 84 - with a total of 14 passing and 2 rushing TDs in that stretch). I guess you could argue that Davis could have had similar numbers, but if Wells was hurt and not looking "full-go" I would have hated to see what those stats would have looked like had he been 100% :)

What I do wholeheartedly agree on is that we need him healthy to have a chance. I thought WCU's defense looked almost decent at times against Georgia Tech - better than they looked against CSU. But clearly we are going to have to score points to compete in the SoCon, and Davis is the engine to make that happen.

Upstate SC - sports talk radio and local channel sports around here is all Clemson and USC.
Most talk show hosts predicted around a 55-3 Tiger woopin'. It was far from that.

The biggest read between the lines IMO - Dabo's comment they planned to play a lot of people against Furman and that didn't happen.

Kudos to the show hosts that spent a good amount of time talking about Furman Monday morning.
Respect earned.

Next step… is for the SoCon to win games and get deeper in the playoffs.
From what I've seen so far we have 3-4 teams that can make noise in the playoffs.

Good gracious this is hard. On one paw, it’s hard not to feel bad for the putrid, punchless PorchYappers. On the other paw, it’s hard not to take such delicious pleasure in watching every second of their demise. It’s soul-warming. Anyway, until & unless some other Teams do, they won’t be able to FakeCovid-out of amassing more losses, as they did in the Spring of ‘21. FUBeAR wouldn’t be terribly surprised to hear that their bus breaks down on the way to Blacksburg and a series of calamities follows which prevents them from making the game. Anyway, if they do show up…

Have the Keydets harnessed their elusive, flittering mojo yet? Hard to say, but it won’t matter until they get into their SoCon schedule. VMI beat these Ivy-Leaguers by double-digits last year at their place, sending them on to a 2-8 season. It might be close, but that big Giant-Rat-With-a-Pouch casts a long shadow on visitors to Alumni Stadium. Home field ensures the difference for VMI

Cats’ QB, Carlos Davis, does not play, due to his (non)injured shoulder, but it doesn’t matter. These Ho’s don’t run! Tough one to handicap. TUNA has lost an OT game to a mid-tier Team from the mighty MVFC and whipped a D2. Chatt has beaten what may be the worst Team in FCS and a perennial OVC also-ran, but we can count on the Mocs ALWAYS reading and believing their press clippings, leading to scores of imaginary victories and championships. But, they are playing pretty well and they are at home. So, the Mocs have enough to pull this one out and they swear they’ll play ‘em one at a time going forward…while reading a “Best Sports Bars in Frisco” pamphlet.

Finally…a game that really matters. Coach Thompson obviously installed the FUBeAR game plan last week and never trailed in a game vs. the defending SoCon Champions. It’s taken a while for him to get with the program, but now that he’s Team FUBeAR, we can expect to see better performance from his bellhops. That said, he ain’t gettin’ no guidance in 2 SoCon games/year no matter how many likes he gives FUBeAR’s Insta photos. Mercer was NOT happy with their performance @ Auburn. Sure, they, surprisingly, won a lot of their matchups in the trenches on both sides of the ball, but there were a few points in the game where the O, inexplicably, looked like they did against VMI last season (shot off numerous toes in successive downs) and the 2nd/3rd levels of the D just failed to adjust their pursuit angles to the SEC ‘speed of ball.’ The bellhops played better last week, but they aren’t Auburn and Mercer is a deep, experienced, and talented Team with a lot to prove.

Final Score: Mercer 34 - The Citadel 7

Cookeville, TN w/OVC Refs is NOT an easy place to play. Neither was Sanford Stadium in Athens. Bulldogs Defense continues to be the ‘legs’ of this Team…SHOCKINGLY…while the O is getting their kinks worked out before starting their SoCon season. D wins another one for Coach Hatcher…

HUGE SoCon game for both Teams. As important as it is for Furman to avenge last season’s MountainPirates’ last second comeback win and to follow up their very strong performance at Clemson with a solid win, this game is more important for ETSU. 2 SoCon losses could eliminate the HillsideShipMarauders from the race…and the way the screwy committee has worked, another loss just might eliminate a 9-2 SoCon Team from the Playoffs.

That said, FU’s O has looked great ALL THE TIME, so far this season. QB Huff is giving FUBeAR those Huesman, Russ chills down his hind paw (or whatever Chris Matthews said about a former President). ETSU’s D looked out of sorts last Saturday…seemed a lot more focused on playing after the whistle than they did during the play. If they do that against Furman, the only ‘after the whistle’ activity they will have is lining up for FU’s XP.

ETSU’s O can, no doubt, hurt a Defense with Saylors, Huzzie, and Riddell’s ability to make fabulous chicken salad while looking like chicken poop. But, they did look like they were kinda trying to ‘find themselves’ against CIT. There will be no time for studyin’ Coach Maslow’s principles this Sat. night though. Furman’s D was good last year and they are better this year.

Final Score: Furman 35 - ETSU 17

I was 5-2 last week. After ETSU's loss last Saturday, I made my way to Crow-Fil-A and noticed a number of fans from Texas A&M, Notre Dame and Nebraska (IYKYK). Ran into what appeared to be A&M's infamous Yell Leaders, one of whom I later found out was caught shooting his mouth off about App State at Midnight Yell Practice.(he ever heard of Michigan or what happened there back in 2007). These are my rankings for this week:

1) Chattanooga - they're still undefeated, yeah yeah yeah
2) The Citadel - has cobbled together a three game conference win streak dating back to last season
3) Furman - put together a valiant effort against Clemson
4) Mercer - healing up from their trip to the Plains
5) Samford - had nothing to be ashamed of against Georgia
6) Western Carolina - had nothing to be ashamed against Georgia Tech
7) VMI - gutted out a win vs Bucknell
8) ETSU - lose to a cellar dweller, wind up in the cellar (for now)
9) Wofford - appears to have implemented an offense my grade school coach would be proud of

Week 3 Predictions
Wofford @ Virginia Tech (Beatdown of the Week #1) - Hokies lay the visitors to waste
Cornell @ VMI - Keydets take care of business at home
Presbyterian @ Western Carolina (Beatdown of the Week #2) - Catamounts chew up the visitors and spit them out
North Alabama @ Chattanooga - Chattymocs continue their winning ways
The Citadel @ Mercer - No joy in Macon as the Bears end the visitors' streak of luck
Samford @ Tennessee Tech - Bammerdogs go Full Pit Bull on the road
Furman @ ETSU (Game of the Week) - Bucs snap out of their funk and send the home crowd away happy

So #8’s gonna whip #3 and #4’s gonna whip #2 in ‘upsets’ of your own design?

You sure you don’t just think 8 is better than 3 and 4 is better than 2? Seems odd to FUBeAR…

Anyway, below is what BnGRev (also an Appy Fan and/or Alum, if FUBeAR recalls correctly) is referencing in the TAMU Agie yell leader riff, in case y’all didn’t catch it. It’s pretty funny, FUBeAR thinks, to FCS fans. Yep, the SoCon 2.0 Conference had a pretty good day last Saturday, and with ESPN GameDay showing up in Watauga County this AM, they will again this week…publicity-wise at least. https://twitter.com/jimgboyle/status/1569377835630080016

Per Coach Bell on his weekly coach's show, Carlos was begging to go back into the game and should be ok this week. That seemed to be backed up with the announcement of the 2-deep with Davis listed as the starter for our home opener against Presby this weekend. A large sigh of relief…it is good to hear our starting QB should be good to go.

Wouldn’t put a lot of stock in what Coach Bell tells the public about his QB’s pre-game.FUBeAR sees Gonzalez playing QB for WCU. xnodx

I said I would sit Carlos this week and keep Samford guessing. After a very slow start the WCU offense woke up. No need for him to play in this game, but I expect him to be on the field next week.

wcugrad95
September 17th, 2022, 06:36 PM
And I know it is against Presbyterian, but WCU has played 5 different QBs (4 of them freshman) and all have taken the team down the field for TDs. Also 8 different players have scored TDs. Not making a big deal about it due to the competition, but those are pretty amazing facts. Especially considering Davis didn’t play and it took the offense about a quarter to really get on track.

Mercer's offense looked about as bad as it could look, in my estimation. The first drive of the 2nd half was inspired, but that was about it. That said, the defense played their proverbial tails off. Other than 4 really bad penalties (two of the DAP variety) they got after it. Holding any team to 92 yards rushing and 2.0 ypc and 7/17 for 59 yards passing is Herculean. It's a good thing, because the offense was slooooooppy. Return game was also pretty terrible, but having a punter average 57.5 yards per kick in a game like this was spectacular. Conference win is a conference win, but we've got to get a lot better on O and on special teams, and keep the effort level up on D.

Yep, agree. I truly think Furman is top 25, easy.. But to go from Preseason SoCon Favorite (ETSU) to having 2 losses in conference (ETSU) and probably no chance to win the conference barring c razy stuff elsewhere - though it could happen and 6-2 could do it.

I have to agree some but a LOT of what you saw was our DL getting in their backfield and pressuring the QB which caused those throws. Riddell won a tonna games last year to help ETSU win the SoCOn - so the dude and Huzzie and Saylors etc can play! But we were in his face most of the second half - the announcers kept harping on that. On tv they said "the OL has to help Riddell (ETSU QB) out, Furman has him on the run too much".

Also, I think Saylors - a great RB ! - had 19 carries for 54 yards. He is a STUD... and only got 2.8 YDS PER CARRY against FU DL and LB but

vs The Citadel, Saylors had, 24 carries for

187 yards and a

7.8 YPC average. That is Sick. As is the difference in his output vs Citadel and FU

And yes, I am glad you have Quarles... lol

To follow up on Mercer's defensive effort, best I can tell with my manual math, The Citadel had 39 yards of offense in the 2nd half. 39. That is... not a lot.

A few thoughts about Furman's performance agains the Bucs.

For the second straight week Furman's defense has played lights out in the second-half against a FBS heavyweight the defending SoCon champs.
Furman's depth is no joke. Furman ran three-deep rotations and the d-line made Riddell run for his life. Furman's youthful defensive backs have 6 interceptions in 3 games.

Furman's offense looked great at times and searching for rhythm at times. Despite the inconsistency and ETSU taking Ryan Miller out of the game. The DINS still have QB Tyler Huff and WR Joshua Harris. The SoCon has a bunch of great skill players, Huff and Harris are deserving of being considered as one of the best throw and catch tandems in the league.

All signs are pointing to a slobberknocker on Oct. 29th in Paladin Stadium.

Looking into the week four matchups – only one SoCon matchup next week but its going to tell us a lot about two teams - Western at Samford.

The one that hasn’t made sense to me is Mercer’s board. I could understand early on that as a new program it would take some time to build a following and participation, but activity there actually got worse over time. Citadel and Wofford fans really care, and I assume that passion and the discussions that followed and either shutdowns or going private were due to that. Any other SoCon team that was on the rise and in Mercer’s current position would most likely be flooded with message board talk. Certainly not knocking FUbeAR or MUBearDown, but I’d venture to guess Jackal, SUDOG, and I have about as many posts on that board than other Mercer participants, and I haven’t posted anything there in a long time.

While FUBeAR fell in love with almost all things Mercer 10 years ago, just as he had Furman 35 years prior to that, Mercer Fans are a bit of a curious lot.

They are passionate, will contribute their time, talents, and treasures; and they yearn for Mercer to be seen in the bright lights and the headlines, but they seem to want to do that while they, themselves, remain quiet, dignified, and sort of casually detached.

Nicest folks you’d ever want to meet and very proud of their school/Teams, but they much prefer you would say something positive about their Team than to tell you about them.

…. and “no respect” for FUBeAR is still setting the bar way too high. The term “negative rep” was invented to describe FUBeAR.

I think the last post on Mercers board was in Aug. It has been a joke every time I've checked it.

I'm the one that started and maintain the Mercer board. A few things at play here. First of all, I didn't even know there was a such a thing as message boards for FCS football until FUBeAR told me about them back in 2014 or so, a year after football started back at Mercer. And I'm pretty engaged. So, if I didn't know it was a thing, I assure you the regular Mercer fan/alum doesn't know. Secondly, a message board prior to the one I build didn't really exist for basketball. I think there was a CNSB (or some acronym like that) board that basketball fans used but it was very light. Finally, there hasn't been really any marketing to speak of to let people know the board exists. The few that were there in the beginning were mostly from me and FUBeAR telling people about it. We had the occasional player/former player/parent of a player trickle in, but that was about it. Could I beat the streets and drum up some more people? Perhaps. Do I have the time or inclination to do that? Not really.

It seems to me that even the best of boards in the SoCon is about the same 10 different people talking to each other about the same stuff every week. So I don't know if everyone at the other schools should break their arm patting themselves on the back. lol

Well good on you for stepping up. I was just trolling a bit and wanted to see some talk while our board was down. I had stopped looking at Mercers because nobody was posting. Some of the people on our board are insufferable. I read, never post.

We had quite a bit of traffic for a while, but I think it was a lot of that. Readers but not posters. It hard unless someone is driving the content.

Usually the board owner has to do this. Give the readers something to talk about...

Same advice comes from Coach Raitt…

BTW - FUBeAR saw her live in Kenan Stadium @ UNC’s Spring Fest in 1980. Front row / “special” access as he was hangin’ with the UNC Football Players that were, in theory, working security. She opened for the dual headliners..The Atlanta Rhythm Section and The Beach Boys. She kinda stole the show though…in FUBeAR’s eyes…as she was so good…and also really HOT. And look…42 years later…and she’s still giving FUBeAR somethin’ to talk about…

I'm happy to hand over the reigns if someone with more time wants to drive the bus.

Unless, of course, its AGS. Then you have folks like Fubear more than willing to stir the pot.:D

Furman played really well on D, but I thought the Bucs looked really bad offensively. It was basically throw it up and hope. I don’t think the ETSU QB has the ability to beat teams on his own, and I can hear the Paladin fans being happy with their new QB and OC (and that their old OC is now the coach in Johnson City),

I had one colleague go on Twitter place this on our recently departed AD. I am really hoping beyond hope Quarles does not win the Buddy Kent Hackett award. This is the second time in as many weeks I went to Crow-Fil-A for supper.

Apparently it was a close game until a late touchdown by Furman sealed the deal. Saw Riddell throw 3 INTs. Dude, my cousin's son (currently QB1A/B at a service academy) can play better than that.

So #8’s gonna whip #3 and #4’s gonna whip #2 in ‘upsets’ of your own design?

You sure you don’t just think 8 is better than 3 and 4 is better than 2? Seems odd to FUBeAR…

Let's see, Furman played ETSU at home, which is known to be a raucous place at times (never been to a home game since ETSU brought the sport back). At least The Citadel had a three-game win streak in conference play until Mercer (a team I think was going to beat ETSU in an earlier post) happened.

I went to grad school at App State after I graduated from ETSU, came oh so close to picking up a MS degree from there but dropped because I ran out of funds (non-NC resident tuition was expensive as all get out) and my grades were not high enough for me to continue. I was hoping to return there at some point but after further review, I felt led to start over elsewhere (enter Norfolk State). I was glad that GameDay made their way to Boone last weekend. The ASU-Troy game had an epic ending that made me want to channel the late Larry Munson (may he rest in peace).

A short video of the Furman/ETSU game . Whoever is doing these for Furman is doing a great job.
Love the on-the-field angle views. For those who've not seen Huff play, there are some cuts that show his elusiveness and arm.
