I think Stan Becton comes up with a pretty good list here but I would put a healthy Henderson higher up

Absolutely too early to put him on any lists, but I was very impressed with WIU's Nick Davenport in his 1/2 game of play against UT-Martin last week. Has a strong arm and can throw on the move. Played only the second half against UT-Martin, throwing for 180 yards and 3 TDs with 1 INT and a 168.5 efficiency rating. We were already down 21-7 when he came in, so a few of his throws were more of the "high risk/high reward" variety...hence the 1 INT. He also picked up 62 yards on 8 attempts (leading the team in rushing...which tells you how much our run game has not improved yet). He's the kind of QB who can, if necessary, lower his shoulder and grind out 5-7 yards on a QB keeper. He played in 3 games for us last year...on defense.
Again, WAY too early to be on any kind of "watch list" or a list like the one above, but I think he's someone worth keeping an eye on.

So glad to see that Samford's Michael Hiers made the list. This was his first game as a Bulldog. He was rated the #1 juco pro style QB in the nation last year, however.

Not sure I'd trade NDSU's Cam Miller for any of them. xlolx

I believe Furman leads all teams in completion percentage at ... EIGHTY percent complete. Consider that sick number is when playing (d2) North Greenville - so nothing of note there/ I get it - and FBS TOP FIVE Clemson who has 5 or 6 NFL guys on there defense. That's insane. Many FCS QBs and teams have played d2 and and an FCS game or two FCS games. Or FCS and an FBS FAR easier than top 10 Clemson. How in the world we are completing 80% boggles my mind. As they said at Clemson (Clemson announcer) our TE just set an all-time record since 1896 - think about that - that no TE has ever caught 13 completions vs them ..in come FCS Furman and our TE catches 13 of 15 targets. 125 year record broken. It's the 80% that blows my mind. Surprised our QB isn't in the "next ten" or something

there it is- we have completed 49 of 61 passes including vs a top 5 FBS defense. Everyone on their DL is going Pro and several are first rounders including Breese who may be a top ten overall draft. How we help up vs that is crazy

Had WCU's Carlos Davis played this past weekend, he would have thrown for at least what our backup FR QB did against the Blue Hose (19-24 for 276 yards and 3 TDs passing and a rushing TD). As a team our QBs were 26-33 for 382 yards and 6 passing/2 rushing TDs. Would those numbers have kept Davis where he was at (or even move him up) on the list instead of dropping him out of the top-10? Unless Davis was out for the season or comes back and shows that the injury really changes his game, I personally would liked to have seen him stay up there. Nice that it is noted, and the good news is Davis will have ample chances to play his way back onto the list.

When I looked at Furman's stats after this past weekend, the Paladins are 73 of 101 (72.3%) for 743 yards and 5 scores. Impressive that your QBs have only thrown 1 INT especially given you played Clemson. WCU's QBs through 3 games are 78 of 104 (75%) with a lot more yards (1086) and TDs (14), but we have thrown 5 INTs. That includes an FBS game (Georgia Tech) but of course we just played Presbyterian - so that really helped xlolx
I did find it interesting that Furman has thrown the ball basically the same number of times as the Cats - you guys have thrown it 40 times each of the past 2 weeks. Looking around at other SoCon stats, I begrudgingly agree with FUBeAR that Huff and Payton should show up on this list somewhere if Hiers from Samford is on here given all 3 of those guys have pretty similar numbers.

Nolan Henderson is similar to Ryan Cartys last QB Eric Schmid... And Carty is tapping into his talent with The Delaware sling T offense

Nolan Henderson is a sight to behold and good to see him finally getting some national attention
Now why the Richmond QB is not on this list ? His numbers are very similar to Hendersons the past few weeks.

You have to understand that the effect being a CAA QB effectively counters the SoCon QB effect. Now if only he were a Big Sky/Southland QB.

Jason Shelly at #4
He isn't even the top statistical QB in his own conference
The top QB in his conference isn't even listed in the top 20. Makes sense.
