I finally got my spreadsheet to behave the way it is supposed to...I think. Here are the updated results from Week 1. No perfect weeks, because we are all MVFC snobs (including the non-MVFC participants), and everyone picked SIU over UIW. xlolx When I am sure the spreadsheet is behaving properly, I will update the link to it in my signature. Interesting to see the split amongst the UNI/UND game this week - seems to be about the only game there isn't an overwhelming consensus for. I thought there was an interesting little nugget in the FCS Insider notebook that ursus posted earlier this week about this game; UND has won 35 straight home openers. They're tough at the Alerus Center... but that streak might be in jeopardy if the elite MVFC minds on this thread are this torn about it.

I was kind of torn on this game too, went with UND just because they are so tough at home. They also looked decent against Nebraska last week and UNI didn’t. I don’t remember any recent history between these two to go off of either which makes this matchup even harder to pick IMO.

Yeah, this was the really tough one.
They're both what I'd consider in that "second tier" of MVFC teams behind the XDSUs where a number of them will get into the playoffs, but probably not all...and includes MSU and SIU (or at least did at the start of the season).
Massey has UNI at #10, UND at #15, but has UND winning by 2 in a low scoring game: https://masseyratings.com/game.php?gid=935075083
Sagarin has UNI at #117 (includes all DI teams) and UND at #126.

I think on a neutral field, they're probably pretty darn close, but it's at UND, and the Hawks looked a lot better against Nebraska than the Panthers did against Air Force last week. That probably gives UND a little bit of an edge, but could really go either way with one good bounce or tipped ball in one direction or the other.
