Anytime my team gets props, I'm appreciative, but why do you see them as number 1?,

I'm not about ready to drop Montana out of the top 5 just yet. If we don't kill Northern Colorado, then they drop, but for now:
1. UNI
2. NDSU
3. McNeese
4. Montana
5. Wofford
I still think we're better than UMASS, but only time will tell. I still think it's way too early to get one's panties in a bind over the rankings, so take this with a grain of salt. xcoffeex

Polls, thankfully, don't matter so much in FCS but if I were being objective I could not vote McNeese #1 because the only team they've played to date that has a winning record right now is 4-3 D-II South Dakota. South Dakota was ranked 24th in D-II going into this weekend but, heck, UNI's beaten Southern Illinois.
McNeese will get its chance to show what it can do against an FCS winner this Saturday at Nicholls State. I've watched the Colonels on TV and they are a very physical team. A lot of really good athletes.

This is criminal. 3 teams in front of UNI after they beat a team that many had as number one after SIU's drubbing of InSU?? I'll have 2 of whatever you're on.

Dropped Montana from #4 to #8. I almost never drop a team after they win, but the way the Griz are playing, I can't rationalize them as a top 5 team.

Sorry but APP wasn't soundly beaten by Wofford - Outplayed Yes, Did Wofford deserve to win - Yes, however the score was 35-31 with about 2 minutes left and APP had the ball - so put Wofford in the top 5 but take someone else out other than APP - Have you forgetten that APP soundly defeated Univ of Michigan???

This is right. Who are these guys leaving AppState out of the top 5? They're still the team to beat and they get their QB back soon.

I'm not saying that they don't deserve to be in the Top 5, but offense has not been the problem for App.

I'm one who has App out of the top 5 right now. They're still good and hopefully have fixed the problems on defense, but there are a lot of good teams this year in the top 10 and the 6-10 range is good company. xnodx

Why Montana?
Their average win over division opponents is 12.9 points with 11 - 24 combined record.
The future competition seems equally unimpressive with a combined record of 11 - 22.
